Ori and the Blind Forest is a great game Xbox One game. Its world and characters are delightful. The music and visuals are extraordinary. The high level of difficulty and distinct save system may be off-putting for some players, but those looking for an exceptional Metroid-like substitute will thoroughly enjoy what Moon Studios have created here.

I can confidently say that Ori and the Blind Forest is a game that should not be missed for those who love the platform genre. Whether it is graphics, sound or music, everything is perfect. The challenging structure, which may be seen as a negative by some, connects people to the game more. The pleasure you get when you complete a stage that you haven't tried over and over again is something not found in many games. If you are interested in platform games, take this game off your eyes. If you're not interested, this Ori and the Blind Forest can be a good alternative to get you started.

From the moment the game begins, to the moment the credits start rolling, it's obvious that Moon Studios were crafting this out of love. While most may play a second time to earn every achievement, many will just want to experience the fantastic presentation one more time.

'Ori and the Blind Forest' isn't just a great platformer, it's a work of art. It oozes style and charm and has an accessible and touching story. Games like this don't come along every day. Despite its brevity, $20 is well worth the experience.

Ori and the Blind Forest is a 2d platformer that sticks to its bread and butter. It's beautiful to watch and listen to and for the price you get a lot more than you pay for.

There's nothing quite as rewarding as a good Metroidvania and Ori and the Blind Forest proves itself to be classified as one. Giant, sprawling landscapes hide tons of goodies just waiting to be collected once you've gained some new skills.

Challenging and gorgeous, Ori is a classic platforming genre modernized and done strikingly well. Use a controller and save often.

Ori and the Blind Forest combines enthralling narrative sandwiching derivative but solid gameplay. It's this approach that makes you wish the rest of it was as compelling. But by the time you've realised that, you've been played, the fantastic presentation would have pushed you to its end, which should take you around seven hours. Well played Moon Studios, well played.

The extreme highs carry Ori and the Blind Forest through to greatness if not quite flawlessness. Rarely is a game able to be so devilish in its gameplay yet so touching in its story.

Ori and the Blind Forest doesn't add anything new to the genre of gaming that it was inspired by, but few other games can match the polished gameplay and humbling difficulty of this charming little fella.

Ori and the Blind Forest is an absolute success, a real little masterpiece as much in its dazzling aesthetics as in its gameplay adjusted to the millimeter. The very touching prologue which makes us plunge into this tears in our eyes quickly gives way to an action / adventure game masterfully led by Moon Studios, where the acquisition of each new power revives the Interest of more beautiful and where the ingenious and memorable sequences are linked tirelessly, from start to finish, without being able to let go of the joystick as the pleasure is great.

Lush appearance and polished mechanics are not to be sniffed at, of course, and even if the game's long term appeal never quite reaches the dizzying heights its first impressions hint at, the difference is barely worth quibbling over. It's no exaggeration to say that Ori and the Blind Forest is still arguably the best Microsoft console exclusive of the last six months.
