Fast and dangerous, TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is a plain package but boasts some top-notch two-wheeled racing.

A handful of improvements and overhauled physics make this audaciously exciting bike sim easy to recommend.

Motorcycle simulations really haven't ever taken off in video games, but since racing games are at their peak in today's world, there is certainly a market for it.

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is still a good game, but some twitchy handling and framerate issues somewhat compromise the Nintendo Switch experience. [OpenCritic note: Gary Bailey separately reviewed the Xbox [7] and Switch [5] versions. Their scores have been averaged.]

With the real-life Isle of Man races cancelled this year due to current health concerns, TT Isle of Man - Ride on the Edge 2 is the only place to get your adrenaline-filled motorcycle kicks this year. As a simulation of how fast, dangerous and difficult racing at this event can be, there isn't anything better. Sure, the elements surrounding the riding, such as AI, career structure and track list, still need some refining, but despite these foibles, this is still the best motorcycle game out there.

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is a step forward for the series and overall is a fun racing game with unique atmospheres, a great sense of speed, and a surprising environmental storytelling. It pays the price of a strange handling, somewhat bizarre physics and some harsh game design choices.

TT Isle of Man 2 is rough around the edges, but successfully captures the terrifying nature of the real-life race with reflex-based speed.

A fantastic simulation of Superbike road racing wrapped up with some delicious audio/visuals which perfectly encapsulates the relentless speed and terror of the Isle of Man TT. A wholesale improvement on the first game and well worth investing the time it takes to get to grips with the challenging handling.

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the edge 2 does not know whether to be a simulation or an arcade, becoming an enjoyable, exciting and fast racing without being as memorable as the race it is inspired by.

TT Isle of Man: Ride On The Edge 2 improves on some aspects of its predecessor and makes the experience more accessible to new players. Unfortunately it doesn't keep a consistent record on its improvements and due to a rather poor visual performance (in contrast with its slick audio component) lack of variety on racing tracks and rewards that don't provide much in terms of motivation, this sequel doesn't represent a significant improvement over the original.

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2 is best suited for those that either are already decent with sim racers or who want to push themselves to be better through self-abuse. Either way, it's not the best pickup if you're looking for a casual bike racing experience.

It feels like a budget offering, and yet, TT Isle of Man 2 nails the fear and exhilaration of riding a motorbike like few games in memory.

These two additional years of development will have made an excellent motorcycle game. TT Isle of Man 2 is more successful on all fronts. It is above all the new content and the additional features of a real Tourist Trophy season that gives it a more ecumenical aspect. You no longer need to be an insider and a fierce competitor to the Isle of Man event. You can now discover this event gently and progress step by step with a real evolution curve. The fact remains that its demanding handling puts you to the test, so that you can enjoy all the pleasure of both finishing a race, but also being in googd standings.

Kyloton's approach to speed in TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2 is one that still carries with it absolute love and reverence for one of the greatest races on the planet, mixing a passion for performance and geography into a thrilling spectacle.

That of Kylotonn remains a very particular product, built entirely around a one-of-a-kind race and therefore mainly recommended for an audience of enthusiasts.

TT Isle of Man Ride on the Edge 2 is a good game, but maybe not so much for the Switch's limited Joy-Cons. I feel gamers shouldn't have to fight the controls to get a game to feel right.

TT Isle of Man - Ride on the Edge 2 provides an unforgiving and sometimes thrilling experience, and the physics make for a great racing sim. However, the sound design and graphics leave a lot to be desired. All in all, it's a good choice for someone itching for a motorbike racing sim.

This is a very weak porting of a good racing game. Nintendo Switch isn't the right console for TT Isle of Man 2.

There is a steep challenge built inside this game, but the payoff is well worth the price of admission. If you have any interest at all in something like that, then adding TT Isle of Man 2 to your rotation is an excellent choice.
