If you're a fan of Saints Row, or if you're at all curious about the franchise, this remaster is well worth the time and money. But if Saints Row's particular style isn't for you, there's nothing new here that will change your mind.

I really liked Saints Row: the Third when it came out some nine years ago, and I’m impressed by how well it actually holds up. Yeah, the driving and shooting feel quite basic, but honestly GTA V doesn’t feel any better in terms of its core movement, shooting and driving yet people still love it. Saints Row: the Third usually finds inventive, funny and entertaining ways to stage its missions and gameplay so that you never notice the problems with it. The result is a game that’s just plain fun and has a bunch of memorable missions, moments and characters. So many games try to be gritty and realistic, or present high concepts,. Sometimes you really just want to sit down and ride a panda-quadbike around while dressed like a wizard and shooting at Luchadores.

A stunning remaster of an incredibly entertaining game, Saints Row: The Third Remastered more than justifies its existence in a world dominated by Grand Theft Auto V.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered faces the market as the umpteenth well-built remake, in these last few months, upgrading in a sufficient way all the technical aspects of the original title. Irreverent, reckless, armed with good intentions, the game could be easily recommended, even just for a taste of insanity madness in full swing.

Saints Row: The Third is on the high end of remasters. The bulk of the work has went in to visual upgrades, but that was what was needed most. With the game not aiming for realism, you can get away with the odd bit of sloppy AI or an unforeseen glitch. Sometimes it only ends up adding to the insanity and hilarity going on all around you. If you want a crazy, fun and exciting open world to blow stuff up in, you can’t go wrong!

Saints Row The Third is an experience that drops all pretence of realism, the digital city of Steelport is presented as a sandbox of colourful, comic, and juvenile excess.

This is still Saints Row: The Third – which is to say that it’s one of the most enjoyable open-world games ever made – only now it looks and plays better then ever.

Running around, shooting people, stealing cars and shoving grenades down throats. That's what you want from a Saints Row game. Newcomers to the franchise will enjoy the heck out of it, but longtime fans won't find anything new. Pretty, but not new.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered takes a 9 year old game that needed a spruce up, shines it up real nice and blasts it in your face on modern day consoles. The visual improvements here work really well even at 30 frames per second, bringing the game close to today's high standards, but there’s still some aspects of the game that betray its age, namely the NPC AI.

Saints Row The Third Remastered is one of the best parts of the series, however this very superficial remastering does not convince. Certainly vehicles, weapons and 3D models have been retouched, but very slightly. The gameplay remains unchanged and will comfort fans. Nostalgia is present from start to finish. However, the game is clearly not essential, except at a low price, if you have never done it or if you want to play it in cooperation.

A "remaster" like Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy: the original content remains intact (gameplay, missions... even the flaws), and renew it all with a superb face wash, that show its best side with the light effects, reflections, models... A nice update of one great adventure that keeps giving fun like almost 10 years ago,

Stuck in the past, Saints Row 3 still offers a lot of fun, you just have to look past some pretty dated humour to find it

Saints Row: The Third Remastered is just as ridiculous and fun as you remember, and the new coat of paint and modern upgrades make it an adventure that you'll want to take on even if you've already experienced it before. Fans who missed out on the original also owe it to themselves to see what all the fuss was about, because if they do they will find quite a lot to love. It's not perfect, mind you, but, honestly, you'll be having too much fun to really care about its flaws.

The Remaster for Saint's Row: The Third is a good improvement in an already great game. Also, the inclusion of every DLC available is definitely a good addition for the newcomers of franchise fans alike.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered is the definitive way to play the best game in the Saints Row series. Running through the streets of Steeport has never looked better, but the game still manages to show its age in some areas. Regardless, the enhanced graphics, hilarious story, and timeless gameplay make this remaster worth checking out for long time fans or those who have never touched a Saints Row game in their life.

Saints Row: The Third Remastered is ridiculous in so many ways. It’s over-the-top to the point of parody. It’s hilarious, it’s outrageous, and it can be quite offensive to delicate souls. It’s not perfect, but it’s a bloody good game made better with a few coats of new paint and polish.
