It probaly lacks a bit of courage, but Streets of Rage 4 works on every level, expecially if you plan to play it with friends. Let's really hope that this is a new birth for this beloved franchise.

Whether you are a veteran of the franchise or not there is a fun game here to be had by all.
Streets of Rage 4 impressively combines classic arcade beat-'em-ups with modern day adjustments to create a fantastic sense of progression and reward in a retro setting.
Streets of Rage is an excellent and well made game. Whether your a fan of the series or a newcomer, it is fun and addictive experience. The developers did a great job of making it feel like the old games but also make it have a fresh and updated feel to it. Right i'm off to beat some more people upside the head with a pipe.
Setting a new standard for what a beat 'em up can be in 2020, Streets of Rage 4 captures the past and brings it up to speed with beautiful graphics and immaculate combat.

Streets of Rage 4 doesn't do much to advance the formula of classic beat 'em ups and that's what makes it great. The game can be completed in roughly three hours, which is just enough for this type of game. Unlocking all the Easter eggs is a nice way to add to the nostalgia fix. Playing through with each character offers a slightly different game experience, but the real joy comes from playing these types of games with friends. Streets of Rage 4 is a must play for fans of retro beat 'em ups.
All-in-all, this is the most fun I've had with multiplayer these past few months, and I'd recommend this game to both newcomers and Streets of Rage fanatics alike. Not only is this a heartfelt throwback to the golden years of couch co-op, but it's also an extremely well-balanced and impeccably crafted romp through a city in need of saving.
Streets of Rage 4 was a blast to play, taking me back to my childhood and allowing me to have a reason to play with my friends. I recommend it not just to fans of the series, but as a fun introduction to this classic franchise.

If you’re looking for something that elevates the genre, you may be left wanting. Though going back to basics, and doing it very well, is sure to be a delight. It’s a classic American hamburger. Streets of Rage 4 looks great, will kick your ass, and you get more out of it the more you put in.
Taking a franchise as treasured as Streets of Rage and updating it was never going to be an easy task, but we can't imagine that any self-respecting fan of the series will be displeased with what has been achieved here. Streets of Rage 4 walks that fine line between paying tribute to its predecessors and forging its own unique path and feels like an evolution and a revolution at the same time. The gameplay is unmistakably faithful to the originals, but the addictive combo-heavy mechanics, gorgeous presentation and robust multiplayer options add a whole new layer of complexity, resulting in a game that fans and newcomers alike will enjoy no end. Let's hope we don't have to wait another 26 years for a sequel.
If you have missed the classic Streets of Rage games, then Streets of Rage 4 is the perfect game for you. fun and compelling gameplay of original games has returned in this version and it's followed by the amazing sound and music design and a great roster of unlikable characters that can make you play the game for a very long time. Streets of Rage 4 is surely the game that Beat 'I up have been waiting for.

Streets of Rage 4 does a textbook job of balancing between the new and the old.
Creators of Streets of Rage 4 decided to forget about innovations and instead made us nostalgic by offering a classic gameplay with minor new features. And that's exactly what a lot of fans wanted.

A fantastic arcade throwback, Streets of Rage 4 remains faithful to the classic series, whilst adding its own fresh twist.
Streets of Rage 4 is both a sequel and a throwback to the original 2D brawler series. The gameplay has been tweaked and the presentation updated for the modern day, but it's still an unabashedly retro experience that will appeal to a select few.

A great and enjoyable game, it took me back to the 90s and it got me excited to replay the game with different characters. However, I don't think i can accept a similar approach to development if done again in the future, the game had minor improvements in gameplay and characters mechanics, the game needs major developments and huge jumps in mechanics as it did before in other Beat 'em up games in the 90s, specifically, the second game of the franchise.
