Remnant: From the Ashes - Swamps of Corsus Reviews
The addition of new bosses and items to acquire will naturally feel tempting — with some sufficient improvements to note on how said encounters have been designed — and providing you can tolerate the need to re-roll, Swamps of Corsus offers plenty for players to jump back into.
While the new Survival mode offers an intense, permadeath experience and the new enemies are great, Swamps of Corsus doesn't quite do enough to expand upon the main game.
Swamps of Corsus is a must-buy for fans of Remnant, and a great excuse for curious outsiders to finally check the game out.
Remnant: From the Ashes - Swamps of Corsus is a good expansion that provides closure to one of the major plot holes in the base game.
Remnant: From The Ashes' Swamps of Corsus DLC redesigns an area of the game to be the best-looking location in it. But, a lack of changes to outdoor environments on Corsus, bugs and issues that are still present ten months on, and a general feeling that there isn't much meat on Swamps of Corsus' bones left me underwhelmed with what is here. Fans looking for a more substantial offering should wait for the final DLC in August.
Swamps of Corsus is an excellent excuse to keep exploring the fascinating universe of Remnant: From the Ashes. The new marsh area is quite elaborate, while the additional enemies are well thought out. What is less convincing, however, is the Survival mode. In this case too the new mode is certainly welcome, but being completely disconnected from the campaign, it does not make much sense within the overall experience, and that's because the cosmetic rewards are almost negligible.

Remnant: From the Ashes remains a fantastic game with a healthy community and is a great purchase for any hardcore gamer looking for a new challenge. Sadly - it's first major expansion is somewhat light on content to keep existing players satisfied.
Swamps of Corsus is a great way to get even more out of the already incredibly replayable Remnant: From the Ashes, and if you loved the base game then picking it up is a no-brainer, if only for Survival Mode.
Fans of Remnant from the Ashes will finally have a reason to revisit the title with the addition of the new survival mode, and the revamped Corsus region. While the quality of life changes improve on an otherwise fantastic experience and give melee a much-needed boost. Oh, and Apocalypse will consume you.
Swamps of Corsus adds plenty of new content and a roguelike Survival Mode to the surprise 2019 hit Remnant: From the Ashes.
All in all, Remnant: From the Ashes - Swamps of Corsus is a solid DLC for the $9.99 cost. The new area and weapons are by the book, but the Survival mode does wonders for extending the game's replay value. If you're a fan of the game, it's a must-have for the Survival mode alone. Some patches to the logic of when/where enemies appear would do wonders, but otherwise, it's a welcome way to return to a well-made game.
I've never played a similar game that features such a mode and it's simply awesome to experience a remixed campaign in a roguelike structure as you level up and play as efficiently as possible.
Given that Corsus in the base game felt like the weakest planet in terms of content and storyline, “Swamps of Corsus” brings some much-needed content. The enemies and story are great in Adventure mode and Survival mode is really addicting.
Remnant is an incredibly solid souls-like shooter and Swamps Of Corsus is simply more of it. It isn’t perfect but the asking price isn’t steep and it can add a significant amount more playtime to the game. The new survival mode is incredibly fun to play and there is a lot to enjoy if you already were a fan of Remnant.
