Mafia: Definitive Edition Reviews
Mafia: Definitive Edition is one of the most faithful and worked remakes ever seen, at the level of the big productions. Its magnificent plot and cinematics are very powerful and will make us continue playing to know more about it. In contrast, the gunplay and driving are not very good and can complicate things. In general, a game that we can not miss.

The unique atmosphere makes you want to explore the city bit by bit, either on foot or just driving through the boulevards and alleys, discovering all the secrets that Lost Heaven might be hiding.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is easily one of the best remakes ever released and remains the best in the trilogy. A great choice for those who prefer a well constructed and tied narrative, added to a gameplay that, although not perfect, does not take away the renewed shine of this classic.

Mafia Definitive Edition has raised the stakes. It’s a series that has essentially gone to war on itself by rebuilding, redefining, and reintroducing its stellar narrative to an entirely new generation of gamers. As someone whose family thinks of The Godfather Trilogy as a holy testimony to Italian heritage, Mafia delivers an astounding performance on all fronts from gameplay, presentation, design and delivery.
Mafia Definitive Edition is an all-round great package. It looks and sounds phenomenal. From expert motion capture and stellar performances by all cast involved, down to outstanding writing, it has the makings of an A-class title. Gameplay may be a bit wonky, but there is so much else that brings the game up to the standards of the likes of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto V – but perhaps not as broad in scope. Hangar 13 have done a fantastic job and made Mafia Definitive Edition a must-have for any fan of the period, setting or mobster plot.
While its gameplay feels archaic, Mafia: Definitive Edition has a story and a city worth experiencing.
Mafia: Definitive Edition, despite some technical hiccups, is still one of the best and most faithful remakes I had the pleasure of playing this generation. The story is engaging and thoroughly entertaining, the voice acting is terrific, the writing and characters are phenomenal, and the visuals are spectacular for modern hardware.
Mafia Definitive Edition completes the required task: the rejuvenation of a perfect game weighed down by the weight of the years. The touch of Hangar 13 is absolutely not invasive, but rather enhances the innumerable qualities of a video game cult.

The Definitive Edition may not be exactly the same Mafia from 2002, but that's why this game works excelently. Improved gameplay elements, including beautiful City of The Lost Heaven graphics, are just amazing. Arguments such as: excellent acting performances, great voiceover and with a few exceptions, good balanced gameplay, should be enough to get the Definitive Edition into your gamer's crosshair. Lovers of the original Mafia will enjoy the classic with the new visuals. And those who missed the game 18 years ago have a great opportunity to experience the entire original story in a modern design.

Mafia Definitive Edition is a brilliant remake. I get a feeling of déjà vu saying that because of all the great titles that have been modernised for console this generation, but Hanger 13 have gone over and above here to make this the best title in the Mafia series. This is a must-buy for all fans of open-world action game. Just note that it is a lot less open than you may expect.
An offer you can’t refuse.
Without doubt it is one of the remakes made. The title has not only improved from a graphic and technical point of view, but has also supplanted those slow and unrealistic behaviors of some characters in the story.

For all those who were lucky enough to enjoy the original title in its day, this edition will allow you to once again enjoy the adventure of Tommy Angelo with a finish at the level of the best AAA of today. For those who never did ... Mafia: Definitive Edition is emerging as one of the essential titles of this 2020, either independently or accompanying its sequels in the Mafia Trilogy compilation that has also gone on sale. A game that will captivate you with its finish, but that will make you fall in love with the story and its characters. An offer you don't want to refuse.

Mafia: Definitive Edition shows how a remake should be done. Welcome to the family, you’ve been made
Mafia: Definitive Edition is a great remake. Hagar 13 treated it with respect, staying true to the original material, while bringing it to 2020 with a much-deserved technical revamp.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a beautiful retelling of a cult classic, but struggles to stand on its own against a game market that's left it behind.
Mafia Definitive Edition puts a nice graphical coat of paint on a dated, yet much-loved classic. However, while the story and characters are just as good if not better than the original, its gameplay mechanics fall short and performance even shorter.
Mafia Definitive Edition is how a classic game should be remade. It keeps the soul of the original and pulls the title back into the modern era of games. The amazing story is kept intact with only a couple of changes here and there, including a totally new cast of voice actors. It's only a pity that the new version of Paulie is not up to snuff. Besides that, however, Hangar 13 has done an amazing job to introduce the original Mafia to a new audience and the game deserves to be played.
