Iron Harvest is one of the best RTS games to release in recent memory. Filled with an incredible single-player campaign, as well as intense multiplayer action. The game is an absolute must-play for fans of the genre.
Iron Harvest 1920+ is not just another RTS. Its original setting and ingenious system of changing units make it a game to consider in the real-time strategy genre. As a downside, we can only highlight the lack of multiplayer maps and perhaps a little more variety of combat units, but the developers have already ensured that the game will receive new free content soon.

Though excellent conceptually and visually, Iron Harvest is a run-of-the-mill real-time tactics game with significant unrealized potential, lack of depth, and minimal innovation.
KING Art Games’ first foray into the RTS genre is a more than worthy alternative to Relic’s Company of Heroes series.
Iron Harvest 1920+ is a gorgeous-looking RTS that harkens back to the classics while bringing its own unique brand of destruction. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, and the slower style of gameplay definitely won’t appeal to everybody, though real-time strategy fans looking for their next fix should seriously look into trying it out, especially if they happen to have some buddies they can rope into playing against them, or with them if you prefer.
The act of performing combat and moving troops around, though – the core of the game – is weirdly uneven. Moving units is awkward, and the pathing issues the units have make what should be simple skirmishes often risky and sometimes infuriating.
Iron Harvest had the challenge to do better than Company of Heroes without being an umpteenth copy of the game developed by Relic. Unfortunately, despite excellent art direction and fair good core gameplay, the game has far too many flaws to revolutionize its genre. And it is not its campaigns with ridiculus cutscenes that will come to plead in his favor. For mechs aficionados and players who are fed up of Company of Heroes 2.

Iron Harvest is an incredibly solid RTS with a fantastic setting that will keep you enamored during the entire 20+ hour campaign. KING Art games have crafted a beautiful game with destruction backed by solid and balanced gameplay. It’s missing a few nuts and bolts to hold the rest of it together, but what’s here is sturdy to stand tall for now. I look forward to seeing the game expand and grow beyond its current state to fulfill its promises. For what you get, Iron Harvest is unique, rewarding, and full of depth; it’s absolutely worth playing.
Despite its flaws, I enjoyed my time with Iron Harvest. Mostly with the campaign, but the more flexible gameplay style allowed with weapon switching made Skirmish/Multiplayer promising. Sadly, the game’s lack of content and poor faction variety hurts its longevity.
With the promise of more content and tweaks, Iron Harvest could become something to keep an eye on for the competitive players out there. For now, it’s a solid effort that packs more style than substance, resulting in a good time.
There’s a lot to like about Iron Harvest. It looks lovely and the battles have an excellent sense of spectacle to them as the gigantic mechs unleash hell while infantry squads exchange fire. And while the gameplay isn’t as tactically deep as Company of Heroes or other RTS titles on the market it’s still a lot of fun, flaws and all. But those flaws can’t be ignored: dishonest marketing, uneven campaign difficulty, dull A.I., and very few maps. I think Iron Harvest has a mech load of potential, and in a year or two could be an excellent game. Here and now, it’s a decent RTS and worth playing if you aren’t looking for something deep and fancy some spectacle.
A good strategy title where its environment and solo proposal stand out.

For advanced players, it may be more of the same with a different paint job, but as someone who has had less engagement with RTS titles as a whole, Iron Harvest has been a really solid introduction for me.
The beauty of rural Europe is trampled by the boots of soldiers & the hulking masses of Mechs in this alternate post-WWI strategy. War never changes.
A well thought out real time strategy game that has been able to capture the feeling of a post-war dieselpunk reality, sometimes hampered by gameplay mechanics and pacing issues. King Art Games has put out a great strategy games that, with some more budget and time, could’ve been one of the all time greats in the genre. If you like Company of Heroes, or the strategy genre in general, this is a game you should play. And if you like historic punk settings, then I really want to emphasize on how great the atmosphere in this game is. It’s depressing and beautiful. It’s what I want to see from a game set in this genre.
Iron Harvest is refreshing enough to feel different, familiar enough to easily get into, and probably the best RTS I’ve played in several years. It does a lot of things really well, is engagingly different, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where the developers take the game next.
The great and detailed world of Iron Harvest will surprise you. Both the story and the audio-visuals will keep you entertained, which is what the game does great. Where it falters, however, are the occasional issues with AI and cover system. If you're looking for a nicely made strategy game in today's market, Iron Harvest will definitelly not disappoint you.

Iron Harvest is a decidedly old-school RTS with some modern trappings, with a bombastic main campaign with a surprisingly well written story.
Iron Harvest had the potential to become a very good and original competition for Company of Heroes 2. The game paid the most for its poorly finished start, when nice graphics and original units didn't help it either. Now it is more suitable for players who prefer singleplayer or skirmishes against not very intelligent AI. However, I still recommend that you think carefully about whether this will suit you for the price of €50.
