Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is an excellent modernization of a decades-old franchise that was beginning to really show its age. This is a thoroughly entertaining, slick and addictive addition to the series that funnels players through a meaty campaign packed to bursting point with inventive set-pieces and devilishly devious level design. There's a ton of content to keep fans busy here with time trials, collectible skins, N-Verted mode and side missions galore in a generous package that sees Crash blast and bound his way through what is easily his greatest adventure to date.

Crash Bandicoot 4 is insanely difficult. This can be a positive or negative point, depending on your vision. However, the stages are, in general, too long, making the game exhausting at certain times. Except this and if you are not easily frustrated by high difficulties, Crash Bandicoot 4 is a must have title that has both nostalgia and novelty.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is the best possible sequel for this popular series we all love. Toys for Bob has done a fantastic job of creating a new game which is classic and familiar and also modern and innovative at the same time. Level design is fascinating, new features and abilities are well placed and the game is enjoyably challenging. If it wasn't for some cheap deaths, we could easily call this game perfect, yet it's an amazing game you should definitely play

The game’s demanding difficulty can definitely increase one’s salt levels, though. Some of the game’s latter stages and all of the Flashback Tapes fall into the realm of overly punishing at times. But Crash 4’s high fun and replayability factors will keep you in the race, even in the face of the game’s toughest challenges. This fresh Crash adventure is just too damn fun to pass up and stay mad at.

It's About Time is not only a solid sequel to the 3rd version of Crash Bandicoot series, but is also one of the best 3D platformers of the 8th generation of video games. One that manages to build on all the good elements from its predecessor and add much more to it.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time gives us the Crash experience that we’ve been waiting so long for. The developer seemed to understand what was unique about the series but added touches of their own imagination to make it their own. The finished product is a 3D platformer that is as fun as it is frustrating, so you can bet that it fits in perfectly with the other titles. Here’s to another generation of Crash.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the perfect distillation of classic gameplay, and modern gaming demands. It is full to bursting with content, things to earn and masses of replayability. Though its difficulty may be too high for some, it’s definitely the best Crash Bandicoot has ever been and deserves its place alongside the original trilogy. A classic modernised and a modern classic.

Twelve years after Crash Bandicoot’s last original adventure on home consoles, Activision and Toys for Bob have embarked on a gamble as risky as ambitious : to bring the famous orange marsupial back to the forefront of the video game scene with an episode paying homage to the original trilogy of the 90s. A challenge that worried more than one after the many years of wandering that the series knew. But for our greatest happiness : the bet is raised hands down. With Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Toys for Bob undoubtedly delivers us one of the best episodes released to date and proves us at the same time that it’s never too late to revive the icon of a whole generation. Whether through its story, its gameplay or its artistic direction, this new adventure appears with every minute passing as a true love letter to Naughty Dog’s work. And we can say it… it was about time !

One of the poster boys of platform games returns triumphantly with a highly entertaining and very well-made game, where each frame is proof of the love that the creators have for the title.

22 years of waiting have been worthwhile. Crash Bandicoot 4 takes the best of the franchise and pushes it to unsuspected limits, adding new content and huge replayability. Its hard and demanding platform will push the skill and patience of the most experienced to the limit. Without any doubt it is a game worthy of carrying the 4 in its title

Crash 4 was indeed worth the wait capturing everything that made the series so loved and builds on what the N’Sane collection did in bringing the series back to a modern generation of console and gamers. It is tough but rewarding and does exactly what the original games did, it kicks your butt but never enough to make you feel like you cannot finish it……old school with a fresh look, this is definitely one for your game collection and with the new generation of console sent to launch in just over a month, I would not be surprised to see this get a PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade for Ray Tracing goodness potentially.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time does not feature any major innovations, but it is still excellent enough to entertain and delight. It is a sequel worthy of a successful series with enhanced elements from the original trilogy, renewed visual and soundtrack and competent and challenging gameplay. The inclusions of new playable characters, varied environments and mechanics from the four quantum masks are quite satisfactory, and the comic tone coupled with the great dubbing helps to create an unforgettable and extremely funny adventure.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is equal parts fun and frustrating. One thing’s for sure with me though, it’s precision platforming is addicting. Whether you’re racing against the ghost Crash or surviving the Flashback tapes, when everything’s clicking at the right pace, there’s no greater feeling in gaming.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a truly exceptional game. Going in I just wanted a sequel that did the original three games proud, but what we have here is the best Crash game to date. It’s visually stunning, difficult yet accessible and always has a trick up its sleeve. This is a must-buy game.

Crash Bandicoot 4 is a great challenge and I couldn’t stop playing. It has a ton of variety over quite a lot of levels and the gameplay is genuinely fun. The production values are high and there’s always something to do. It’s a definite improvement on the previous games in the series, despite keeping the same feel. Despite being one of the best games I’ve played recently, I do have one big concern. I could see a lot of people giving up and coming away from this game with a bad impression because of the difficulty. While you can keep trying and trying, many areas are just incredibly difficult and some people won’t be able to pass them. This is not going to be a game for everyone and that's not a bad thing.
