80 / 100 - Islets
Oct 29, 2025

Probably the word that best describes Islets is "pleasant," which applies to everything this game offers. Even though it's a metroidvania without any major innovations or risks, the experience is always lovely and enjoyable, with humorous writing, competent and well-paced exploration, and good boss fights with bullet hell elements.

Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is an exceptional remake of two of the most important titles in JRPG history. Completely updated for modern times without losing their own identity, they are in no way inferior to similar (and inspired) current titles. Both deserve the attention and dedication of every good fan of the genre.

Despite much of the game delivering an unpolished or incomplete experience with warnings in almost all of its foundations, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 still has some highlights that are well worth it for fans of the franchise.

75 / 100 - Painkiller
Oct 27, 2025

Technically, this Painkiller reboot is a great success, boasting beautiful visuals and mind-blowing, fluid, challenging, and energetic gameplay. Its biggest problem is that it resembles the current vision of DOOM more than its own origins, which has cost it its identity in favor of a more generic and shallow market vision.

Tormented Souls 2 gets the visuals right, but loses its soul. The title is still a good classic survival horror experience, and despite significant technical advancements, the script falters, and the story degenerates into something more generic until its final minutes.

Remember when you first pitted plants and zombies against each other in the garden? Well, Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted is exactly that same game, with the expected and obvious graphical improvements of a remaster, and a few minor quality-of-life updates that do little to make the game anything more than a reheated version of something that was always amazing.

Full Metal Schollgirl delivers a great satire on Japanese "Black Companies" and has a solid foundation, but it needs more polished gameplay to justify its roguelike aspect, which quickly becomes very repetitive.

90 / 100 - Ninja Gaiden 4
Oct 20, 2025

Ninja Gaiden 4 is a bold new beginning for the series that brings a new dynamic to combat while still living up to the series' legacy. It may not be the Ninja Gaiden longtime fans were hoping for, but it's an excellent game and one of the best action titles of the generation.

85 / 100 - Bye Sweet Carole
Oct 19, 2025

No small flaw can detract from the invigorating brilliance of Bye Sweet Carole, a game that finds in its obvious inspirations the breath of creativity and identity that the horror genre so desperately needs. With mesmerizing art, sound, and animation, and a script full of subtleties and layers of insight, the point-and-click exploration and puzzle-solving mechanics serve a captivating protagonist well on her personal journey of self-discovery and growth.

Ys vs. Trails in the Sky: Alternative Saga is a fun crossover game, but limited as a fighting game in 2025. Still, for fans of the franchises, the RPG systems the game brings are functional and the fan service is pretty nice.

Hidden Cats in Tokyo is the best title in the series, featuring the illustrations of playful creativity and much more content than its predecessors. It's lighthearted and simple fun, packed with interesting details that make it great for relaxing or enjoying with children.

Cats and Seek: Kyoto takes two steps forward with its coloring mode and prettier art than its predecessors. Having only two stages is a step backwards that makes the enjoyable experience even more fleeting, and even the low price isn't well-proportioned in comparison to similar games from the same publisher. In the end, it's pleasant and relaxing enough to make me hope the follow-up, Cats and Seek: Tokyo, already available on PC, also comes to PlayStation.

Just Dance 2026 Edition maintains the vibrant and fun essence that has made the franchise famous over the years, offering a solid selection of songs and choreography for all tastes, as well as significant technical improvements such as the use of the smartphone camera as a full-body sensor. The return of Party Mode and creative partnerships reinforce Ubisoft's commitment to keeping the game relevant and inclusive. However, the lack of significant innovations can leave a feeling of repetition for veteran players. Even so, the game excels in its mission: providing accessible and energetic fun for those who love to dance.

Visually stunning and faithful to the series' atmospheric horror style, Little Nightmares III impresses with its aesthetics but lacks substance. The new title, although well-executed, suffers from its repetitive formula and lack of creative daring. The inclusion of online co-op is a welcome addition, but the absence of local co-op is unjustified. It is a good game, but it is far from a significant step forward for the franchise.

90 / 100 - EA Sports FC 26

With gameplay improvements and excellent additions to its modes, EA Sports FC 26 is a stunning achievement in a series that remains at a level unreachable by its rivals.

85 / 100 - Earthion
Oct 15, 2025

Earthion is a title aimed at a specific niche: fans of the 16-bit era and the side-scrolling spaceship genre. The title doesn't seek to expand its reach, but instead delivers a polished experience within its niche. It's certainly a title that not everyone will be able to appreciate, but it should gain a loyal following among those who do.

75 / 100 - NBA BOUNCE
Oct 14, 2025

NBA Bounce easily fills a gap in the current market for sports games less committed to the realism that dominates the genre's major brands. Even with a clear lack of long-term content, it's charismatic, charming, and easily assimilated by players of all skill levels, favoring silly fun over immersion.

80 / 100 - LEGO Voyagers
Oct 13, 2025

LEGO Voyagers is a great use of the brand and an excellent cooperative journey, recommended for any player, of any age. Perhaps too short to justify its price, it makes up for it in the overall experience.

95 / 100 - Absolum
Oct 9, 2025

Absolum is a fantastic new intellectual property, the result of another successful partnership between DotEmu and Guard Crush. The game innovates by fusing the beat'em-up genre with roguelite, making it unlike anything else on the market. Its solid design and constant surprise factor make this "rogue-em-up" a highly recommended game, even for those who are frustrated by randomness.

90 / 100 - Battlefield 6
Oct 9, 2025

Battlefield 6 marks the return of one of the greatest multiplayer franchises to its glory days. With one of the best sound designs in the series, a competent destruction system, extensive customization options, and varied maps, the game delivers intense matches and immersive gameplay. The single-player campaign and some design choices may not please everyone, but they do not compromise the overall quality of this excellent title.
