Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy Reviews
Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is just a great game from start to finish. The characters are amazing, the world is very intriguing, and gameplay is just fantastic. I’ve played a lot of games in this series over the years, and this one is certainly one of my favorites. Gust has done something a lot of folks fail at. They took a very well-received title and made a sequel that is even better. It will take you right round 35 to 40 hours to complete the story here, and it’s worth every penny of the $59.99 retail price. I can’t wait to see where Ryza and her crew go from here!
Establish new interesting dynamics for the future of the saga.

To those of you who are familiar with the first title of the series, we suggest increasing the difficulty to hard mode.

While the characters and story may not have the most depth, the time and attention given to making the most important aspects of the game click are worth their weight in gold.
It’s a lot to take in, but Atelier Ryza 2 manages to succeed more than it falters. Even with the fan service, it’s hard to hate this game. With a heartwarming story and an emotionally powerful ending, this is an enjoyable RPG experience from start to finish.
Atelier Ryza 2 is an excellent JRPG that marks a step forward for the series. While being a major improvement from the previous game, it introduces new features and elements that make it a more enjoyable experience. This is a must play for fans of the series and for JRPG fans who want to try something new. The wholesome journey of Atelier Ryza 2 impresses greatly!
“I would heartily recommend Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy to any JRPG fan, especially after the torrid year 2020 was. Beautiful, relaxing, yet fun, the game just bought me joy for the last 2 weeks of reviewing it”
I really enjoyed Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy. It felt more of a solid adventure story than some other Atelier games but kept the strong focus on the characters and it had plenty of scenes to get to know them. The gameplay is one of the best I’ve experienced in a JRPG too, through the various traversal options, a wide variety of systems, and genuinely fun battles.
"...if you’re someone that thoroughly enjoyed Ryza’s last adventure, you’ll absolutely love Atelier Ryza 2."
Overall though, Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy is an excellent sequel to Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout. While the refinements to the gameplay’s perspective of the adventure alone are worth the return, the return of the original cast and of the protagonist for another adventure was something that the series has been missing for a long time. It’s not to say that most of the sequels in the various trilogies weren’t worth it as Atelier Firis remains just about my number one entry, but seeing first hand the growth of the protagonist on their next adventure was something that this series needed and it did it very well.
Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is the perfect entry into the gaming year 2021! The story follows directly after its predecessor. Despite the fact that the game takes place three years after the first part, you don't necessarily need to know anything about it. The story leads the player by the hand and doesn't leave him alone. The alchemy is as good as usual and the battle system is fun. Fast and crisp fights on three different difficulty levels invite you to enjoy the gameplay. Perhaps the only downer is that larger areas can take longer to load. Also, the fact that the audio output is only in the original Japanese version might deter some people. If you have played the first part, you will probably not miss this part of the series.

The once cheery group faces their personal challenges of growth in this latest chapter; a confronting spectacle that touches on a personal level for many and will undoubtedly tug on some heart-strings. Atelier Ryza 2 is essential gaming in 2021.
Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy manages to present improvements in all aspects in relation to the previous game, consolidating itself as one of the highlights of the series. While the previous game had the difficult task of presenting a world of new possibilities, Ryza 2 was also in the complicated position of reinforcing the qualities of its predecessor - the game achieved that goal perfectly. For those who are curious, but have not yet played the predecessor, I recommend checking both in chronological order for a better experience.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is a great entry point for those unfamiliar with JRPGs but who would like to get acquainted with this perhaps mythical genre. At the same time, you also have to learn and put up with grinding, because now and then you will encounter bosses that are a bit too much for an under-leveled party. Thanks to the snappy combat, quick gameplay and easy traversal, you are back in the home base in no time for another go. Ryza’s bright attitude will rub on you and make it easier to go through chores and grinding of real life.
Ryza is back and, well, good news! If you liked her debut adventure, then you’re going to also love Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy. It does a lot of what made the original game great. We have characters who are easy to love and face realistic problems. We have lots of materials to gather and things to make. There’s also more intrigue, since there are multiple ruins to explore. It’s also a lot more active than before though, with a new progression system for recipes, which might not be exactly what you’re looking for.
Atelier Ryza 2 is not far from the previous titles and carries several traces of evolutions introduced during the franchise. Even so, the new adventure offers an extensive journey full of refinements, while still bringing the depth that the series has built in its more than 25 years of existence. In the end, Atelier Ryza 2 outperforms its predecessor and introduces new features without losing the essence of the series.

With Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy Gust and Koei Tecmo have delivered again. This new game can be played on its own, though you’ll have to learn a lot to master it all in a short time. For me, there’s never a dull moment in the game and I love the new additions like the Exploration Diary. You won’t be surprised that Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is the best of the best for me.
Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & The Secret Fairy is an excellent follow-up. Gust has improved on so many things that it's hard not to love this game or its characters but the various systems may be overwhelming for any newcomers.
Ryza 2 does little to break the mold, but what it does do is polish the existing formula.
Atelier Ryza - Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy is a slightly chaotic turn-based JRPG prioritizes crafting alchemical items over everything else. During the play, we will take Ryza back on a well structured and fun adventure with enjoyable moments with our companions. It is a very beautiful game, but you denote its deficiencies in Switch because of the saw teeth and some texturing problems, although they are minor. In general, it's a very entertaining game that JRPG fans will like if they don't have any problems with English.
