ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights Reviews
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is one of the more memorable Metroidvania games I have played in a while.
Ender Lilies is a captivating sidescroller RPG with a well-told compelling story, beautiful music, and solid gameplay.
It might not match up to the genre’s modern day visionaries but Ender Lilies: Quietus Of The Knights is still a beautiful and engrossing Metroidvania title. A convoluted plot and some sections of uninspired combat are offset by fantastic boss battles and a beautiful soundtrack. A worthy stopgap while we wait for Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Ender Lilies is a high grade piece of entertainment. It comes to remind us that developers don't always need a millionaire budget to make an immersive and fun videogame.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights doesn't hold any surprises for its players, but nonetheless, it's a more than solid experience.

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a solid game all around, with a fun and always evolving combat system, a well-crafted world with tons of secrets to find, and a sober soundtrack accompanying its traversal acting as the title’s highlights.
ENDER LILLIES: Quietus of the Knights is the definition of sky-high potential gone to waste. At first it will seem like this is a flawless diamond. It is beautiful, it controls like a charm, and the story behind it all is mysterious and dark. The more you play, however, the more you realise that, under the wallpaper-worthy vistas lies something that leans more towards generic than awesome, with combat in particular slowly turning into a repetitive slog. Sadly, this is nothing more an 'okay' metroidvania.
Overall, Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is an absolutely stellar hybrid of 2D Metroidvania exploration and souls-like combat rolled into a wonderfully artistic package. With tough but smooth combat, exploration that feels both fulfilling and challenging, a beautiful art style and soundtrack, as well as an endearing story, Ender Lilies really captures a lot of great aspects. It’s incredibly hard to pick out any real issues with Ender Lilies other than personal preference, but it is really easy to recommend to anyone looking for either a Metroidvania or Souls-like. A great package that has come together magnificently, Ender Lilies will not leave you disappointed.
Ender Lilies is a fantastic game, with some really cool ideas and twists to the metroidvania genre. It never felt like it was leaning on and borrowing from another title heavily, and I appreciated that a lot.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights caught me by complete surprise. 2021 has been a quiet year so far, yet it’s easy for smaller games like this to fall through the cracks. And that’d be a shame. If you’re starving for more info on Metroid Dread and Hollow Knight: Silksong, no need to go hungry. Ender Lilies is far more than an appetizer; it’s a whole meal, and one of the best Metroidvanias in recent memory. Don’t miss it.
The best metroidvania since Hollow Knight

Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a charming and melancholy Metroidvania that doesn't stray far from its roots and inspirations.
A gorgeous dark horse of a game with stellar art, writing, and gameplay that allow it to cut a path through the impossibly large mountain of Metroidvanias.
Ender Lilies features some truly captivating pieces. With its excellent soundtrack and captivating art style. However, the game falls flat in its execution. Making it a game that at times feels excellent and at others feels mundane.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is a compelling, surprisingly charming little adventure. It may look dark and oppressive, but Lily is a likeable heroine.
Mixing different genres and mechanics, ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights is perhaps one of the lesser-known, albeit one of the best Metroidvania titles released in the last ten years. From start to finish, with very few caveats, the game excels in everything it does.
