While the combat is stylish and its open-world is fun to explore, Biomutant is a game that bit off more than it could chew, leaving a lot of parts feeling half-baked.

Biomutant is like a game that has come out of the hands of a tenacious but small crop that wants to offer much more, and has not found its potential due to impossibility.

Biomutant doesn’t do anything well enough to make you care–ultimately its most grievous disappointment.

I may not have any desire to return to the game, but I enjoyed my time with Biomutant. I think most fans of the genre will too, jank and all. Its world is a beautiful one worth exploring, even though it’s a bit static. Evolution wasn’t entirely kind to it, but Biomutant still grew up to be a respectable but flawed fur-filled adventure.

Biomutant is a nice ARPG, with a nice universe, despites a not very good combat aspect.

Biomutant’s excellent crafting system stands out in an otherwise mundane action RPG that shows signs of potential, but falters in its execution.

Biomutant is a genuine open-world game, based on a post-apocalyptic period with RPG mechanics and a wide range of personalization about your character. The combat system combine hack and slash with shooter elements and the powers of wung-fu, a martial arts style that you can improve during your adventure. Your mision is to stop the destruction of the world and try to save all the Biomutant forms of life.

Biomuntant is an action adventure game with complete RPG character customization. THE GAME STARTS IN AN EXTREMELY SLOW RHYTHM, the first hours are dedicated to its storytelling and tutorial. After that, you will fight, travel and loot to complete a variety of different quests to save what’s left of the world. Like most open-world games, there is a bunch of things to do, but what most stand-out about the gameplay is HOW EASY BIOMUTANT IS. Almost every combat can be won by kiting enemies around. Puzzles are so simple that can become repetitive for some players. All bosses can be easily beaten on the first or second try. THE LACK OF CHALLENGE can influence how deep you go into the RPG portion of the game. As things “run so smoothly” the need to build, optimize and learn how to better play your character becomes secondary. This doesn’t mean the game can’t be fun to play. Just be sure that you are the kind of player that enjoys exploring, collecting things, and completing lists of objectives.

It's been a while since I had so much fun with an open world in a videogame: Biomutant is full of things to see, explore and collect. Sometimes, it's even a bit too much: Biomutant is a collection of great ideas but not all of them do really shine.

Biomutant will have many shortcomings and errors, which perhaps one day will be corrected with patches and a lot of work, but it has achieved something that not everyone achieves, having me hooked on command for a good handful of hours and not wanting to let go.

Biomutant is like the potato salad at a cookout. Some folks might like it and may even come back for seconds but nearly everyone else will wonder why the heck anyone would bother, especially because there's a huge stack of juicy steaks and burgers right there.

Aiming for the top but falling hard, Biomutant leaves us wondering just what could have been if it just made some important changes.

This game has lost even its fun due to the three-year delay in development. It shows a combat system like a puppetshow and a hollow open world which only have frames at all.

For me with more than 60 hours of playing the game and 100% completion of the game, Biomutant is one of the best open world action RPGs of recent years. It really surprises me with its beautiful world, level up elements and so many beautifully designed creatures, for reaching every part of the world and its "World Eater", you must first prepare yourself with proper vehicle and equipment that made the game so much fun. Of course the game has some issues like some elements in battle system and balance of the weapons, but its many strong aspects completely overshadow these issues and make Biomutant a very enjoyable game, I hope gamers know the value of this huge action RPG that made by an small team, because creating such a beautiful huge game by an small team, makes it double worthy and we should encourage them to make more games like Biomutant. If you like action RPGs, Biomutant can give you really enjoyable hours.

Biomutant is very uneven, almost like a “best of” AAA mechanics of the past few years. At the same time, its world is so evoking, so full of life and interesting stories – if you are willing to put the effort to find them – that’s hard not to feel compelled to enjoy it to the fullest.

Biomutant is briskly paced but also a drag at certain points. It’s frequently overwhelming and somehow deceptively simple. Most of the time, it exists in this superposition of contradictory states where its successes and failures coexist and commingle, which lends an undeniably singular quality to a game that, at a glance, doesn’t stray too far from the open-world mold. I haven’t played anything quite like Biomutant before and neither have you. Not everyone will be able to look past the price tag and a parade of minor flaws to appreciate that uniqueness. Regardless, I’m glad that this exists.

With its stunning views, excellent combat, and fantastic audio design that is marred only by the incredibly slow pace of dialog, Biomutant is easily one of 2021’s more exciting titles. Few games in recent years have encouraged multiple playthroughs the way that Biomutant does and that in and of itself is a feat to behold; engaging combat, smart environment design, and an enjoyable leveling and crafting system are held up only in its initial run by odd pacing. Fewer still can say that the subsequent playthroughs are actually better than the initial experience- a rare feat indeed. As it stands, Biomutant is an enjoyable experience, if not perfect, but given time may sit in the pantheon of greatness with the very titles that gave it inspiration irrespective of their specific genre.

As a $60 title, this one is a hard sell. There is enough content here, but I found it so repetitive that I wouldn’t imagine most would go through it. The story is decent, the gameplay can be quite fun at times, and supporting smaller developers is never bad if you feel so inclined. I enjoyed most of my time with Biomutant, and I can’t wait to see what developer Experiment 101 has coming next.

Biomutant has a lot of heart, and really tries to put out some new and exciting ideas, but eventually fails to execute them in the best possible way. It's still a fun game to play, and can become a big franchise, but the devs need to find that killer idea and shift their focus on it.

Biomutant has plenty of room for improvement and the best way to describe it is as an utter waste of potential.
