A sequel that takes the thrilling cold-survival city-building heart of Frostpunk and evolves it in every way, while losing none of what made the series so special to begin with.

Frostpunk 2 is one of those rare, unique games that we rarely encounter. It has evolved in an incredible way compared to the first game, taking it to an entirely new level.

Frostpunk 2 does exactly what a sequel should do. It excels in all the ways the original game did while increasing the scale and adding even more. It is an excellent expansion on everything we loved about Frostpunk and delivers a new, utterly unique experience and story, and one that fans of the original, as well as newcomers to the franchise, are sure to love.

Frostpunk 2 manages to keep true to the spirit of the original while at the same time increasing the scale a hundredfold via the addition of smart political systems that will once again have players questioning their own beliefs.

Frostpunk 2 builds upon the original by throwing everything out and starting over. The stakes are high with Frostpunk 2, and it’s not afraid to kill you. Though you do learn from this in order to retry and do better until you get that “a-ha moment” for the satisfaction of overcoming the odds for success. Unlike the inhabitants of my colonies, we’re eating good with the release of Frostpunk 2, as it’s an excellent survival game that despite its weather, has no chill.

It is an immediate recommendation for city-builders, RTS, and 4X genre fans. And for fans of the original game, what are you waiting for? The frozen land awaits.

Frostpunk 2 is an absolutely incredible game, a true shining masterpiece with a unique setting, mechanics and addicting gameplay loop. Since it's also on Game Pass, I'm recommending it even to players who aren't really into these types of games. You won't regret it.

Frostpunk 2 showed an entirely new side, partially becoming a simulator of political struggle in a post-apocalyptic world. The scale of the game became much larger, and, while it lost that personal touch of the first game, it brought the global problems of society to the fore. The big moral choices in the game are weighty, and the consequences can be terrifying

Expanding upon the original's strengths, Frostpunk 2 adds additional features, a more in-depth storyline, and more intricate city-building. Even while it takes time to get going, once it does, it unveils a massive game that surpasses the original in size and scale. Although there are some issues, especially with how some mechanics are explained, the game provides a deep and thrilling experience worth delving into.

Frostpunk 2 lives up to - and in most ways - surpasses the original. A chilling, intense game about human survival and conflict - that will leave you questioning your own sense of morality for many hours.

Frostpunk 2 is a continuous game with its first installment, although the developer has been able to expand and enhance a formula that worked wonderfully in Frostpunk - construction and management of cities plus survival - delving into expansion, management, and colony construction. and above all the relationships with the different factions and the political aspect, creating a much more complete title and to a certain extent somewhat more complex, but superior to its predecessor. If you liked the first game or you like the genre, Frostpunk 2 is a title that you cannot miss.

Frostpunk 2 successfully expands on everything that the original brutal city builder had, and its larger scale, great story campaign, and new faction system are as "fun" as a calamity reduction simulator can get.

Every single decision you make in Frostpunk 2 is like taking a step out onto a frozen lake. You might shift your weight onto a foot, only to see a tiny crack race out ahead of you. Is this the decision that will lead to your downfall? Even something as benign as placing down buildings comes with the weight of resource management, societal impact, and just a little bit more strain on the delicate system you’ve tried to establish. It’s a brilliant sequel that will leave you frozen with indecision as the icy disposition of the factions rivals the chill from a whiteout.

A fantastic sequel that refuses to be just the previous game but with more options, although in terms of scale and ambition it is most certainly bigger and better.
