Medieval dynasty is a fun, relaxing survival RPG, even if it's not always exciting.

An interesting mix of different mechanics that quickly becomes somehow boring in its micro-management antics.

Like some sort of peasant Animal Crossing, Medieval Dynasty casts us in the role of mayor of Dysentery Village. You'll slowly grow from labor-intensive shacks to a semi-self-sufficient hamlet through the sweat of your brow, building a dynasty that will last generations. You'll just wish your peons would pitch in and carry their own water...and stop eating the buckets.

Medieval Dynasty has transitioned well to consoles after being a PC-only release for some time. It’s nice to know that a larger audience can experience what it offers, even if that audience is niche. We played the game on Xbox Series S and were impressed by the performance and visuals. The game was always pretty, but it looked extra pretty on a 55-inch TV screen. It’s not going to match most triple-A titles, but what it does, it does well. It’s hard to recommend Medieval Dynasty to everyone as this is a title that’s been designed with a certain type of gamer in mind. If you’re the sort of player who spends more time building settlements in Fallout than you do shooting raiders, or someone who spent hours building and furnishing the perfect lodge in Skyrim, then you’ll love Medieval Dynasty. Just don’t expect hours and hours of excitement.

While Medieval Dynasty does not revolutionize the genre, fans of survival RPGs will likely enjoy its addictive gameplay loop and deep systems. Survival game casuals and newcomers be warned, however, as both patience and a willingness to learn are prerequisites to finding that enjoyment.

Medieval Dynasty is a survival RPG that manages to stand out in the oversaturated market that it occupies. By combining ideas from several other popular franchises, developer Render Cube has managed to create a genuinely unique product. Its story hardly stacks up against AAA RPGs like The Elder Scrolls but it's good enough given the game's many other strengths.

While there are still clearly some stark improvements that can be made, I think that Medieval Dynasty succeeded in bringing something new to an already saturated and stale genre, and can be a lasting favorite, as long as they continue to make improvements and provide updates.

Render Cube studio has prepared a very pleasant and relaxing game. Medieval Dynasty is like a distant cousin of Animal Crossing - an FPP game on a budget, without multiplayer, but available on PC. It's worth playing once version 1.0 debuts. If you're new to this game and genre, I assure you - it is a survival like no other.

Medieval Dynasty is far from perfect, but it's captivating and intriguing in its own and peculiar way.

Medieval Dynasty is a gorgeous survival/crafting and town management adventure game that satisfies our primal urge to create, build and form a community. After spending a year in early access, the full release definitely has a solid foundation, but some mechanics could have used a bit more time in the oven. If you’re prepared for a long term investment, you’ll reap a fantastic reward.

Overall Medieval Dynasty is a great title that has a few flaws that stop it from being fantastic. The lack of excitement at times and the slow progression will likely put off some gamers. If you can get past that then you are in for a much better time. As you go forward you do unlock much better items and buildings so stick with it.

Medieval Dynasty is a deep and fulfilling simulation title. Can you start a new life, survive, and encourage others to join you? Hunt, build, and trade as you create a legendary dynasty.

Medieval Dynasty is a fun mashup of survival, RPG and building simulation that works far more often than not. The visuals are attractive and the world is fun to explore, even if the characters discovered during the exploration could be more engaging. There is a lot to do – but the pacing of Medieval Dynasty can make for a satisfying if slow-burn experience that I enjoyed but certainly won’t be for everyone.

Medieval Dynasty tries really hard to become the simulation cum survival RPG that people want it to be – and despite a few flaws here and there, does manage it quite well (if you manage to forget the RPG aspect of it). If you want to flex your creative mind organizing a living, functioning village from scratch – this game should certainly be up your alley. But if you want a pure RPG that wants to stand apart from the masses with some different mechanics – be sure to look elsewhere.

Medieval Dynasty had been in early access for over a year. While it is now officially released, it doesn’t feel completely done. There is still a lot of meat to satisfy diehard simulator fans. But others might want to wait until even more features are added.

Medieval Dynasty is an interesting game with almost too much content. While not all of that content is exemplary, the game is still riddled with purpose filled chores and community management that makes this game stand out amongst its survival counterparts.

Medieval Dynasty is a different simulator, it manages to transport us to the middle ages. the number of jobs, missions and its station system. They may be more than necessary reasons to undertake the journey to these medieval lands, but the truth is that you will need a large number of hours to progress and it has an unintuitive tutorial so it is easy to get lost.
