Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is an experience that never overstays its welcome. While the map may be simplistic and outdated, the combat, visuals, voice acting, and story more than make up for anything the game lacks. New and old fans will find something to enjoy here, while the versus mode will keep players engaged long after the credits roll.
While Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba The HInokami Chronicles is a great game for fans of the manga or newcomers, there is definitely room for improvement. This makes me linger in wait as possible future entries could turn out phenomenal.
If you aren't but a fan of anime-related fighters, you'll definitely enjoy this for the combat alone, and the Story Mode is deep enough for you to understand the characters, their relationships, and the journey they have been on. This is the first Demon Slayer video game, and developers CyberConnect2 have knocked it out of the park. I am very excited about the DLC and any possible further instalments.
Kimetsu no Yaiba comes to Nintendo Switch with a fantastic port, so much so that you will have to strive to find real differences with the rest of the versions released. If we add to that the portability or that it arrives "complete" (with all the post-launch characters), the conclusion is that we are facing a more than recommended version.

Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is a title sure to hit the spot for both the fans of the acclaimed series and those of Arena Fighters in general.
The Hinokami Chronicles isn’t complex enough to challenge fighters like Dragon Ball FighterZ or Guilty Gear, but it is a fun title that will really please fans of the series.

Demon Slayer: -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is a very solid action game, presenting a gripping story and thrilling action combat alongside an art style that almost perfectly matches the popular anime. Though combat can sometimes feel a bit shallow and the performance isn't always perfect, we'd still give this one a strong recommendation, even to those who don't have any background with the anime or manga.
Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles is a surprisingly well done port of a pretty good game. Given all that The Hinokami Chronicles ends up accomplishing, hopefully this heralds the start of many more high quality games based on the IP to come.
Overall, our time with Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles was enjoyable but at times felt like a chore. Additionally, if you like to stream games but do not use a capture card, certain scenes will be blocked from streaming. The controls are simple to use, the graphics show the beautiful world the characters live in, and the voice acting truly conveys how the characters are feeling. The game’s storyline does detract from the overall experience though and never allows the player to experience the story as if they were watching the anime. Finally, when it comes to the game’s replay value, it falls short. Most of the replay value comes by perfecting fights or VS mode.
There's respect there, and an understanding that Demon Slayer is more than a mindless series of fights, even if the gameplay system creaks with age and having been used for far too many other anime tie-ins. Mind you, if nothing else, being able to tear demons a new one with Nezuko has been something I've been looking forward to from day one with this anime, and if nothing else, CyberConnect2 delivered that.
While Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles isn't the game to get me into the genre, I can't deny that it runs well and is mostly fun to play. Fans of the Demon Slayer anime - or fighting games in general - will be happy with this pickup.
Guardians of the Night: Kimetsu No Yaiba – The Hinokomi Chronicles is the best way to relive the adventure of Tanjirō Kamado, with a fun playable system and a spectacular visual finish, which will be a real must for anime fans.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is a great anime-based fighting game that’s only going to get better. Its story mode is a lot of fun to play through, thanks to the quality of the source material and CyberConnects2’s refined battle system that’s easy to pick up yet rewarding to master. Factor in the beautiful visuals and a decent amount of side content to engage in, and you have one of the best videogame adaptations of an anime we’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. If you’re a fan of the franchise, consider this a must-have. And even if you’re not, you might want to give it a go.
Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is a flashy and fun anime arena fighter. The story mode is done so well that both veterans of the series and newcomers can jump right in and enjoy it equally. The visuals and voice acting are also top notch and extremely faithful to the source material. I’ll also be jumping back into it later this year when various characters from the Entertainment District Arc get added to it such as the flashy Uzui. If you don’t typically enjoy these arena fighters than this one won’t do anything to change your mind but for those who do or are just pure Demon Slayer fans you are in for a treat.

For fans of the source material or just arena fighters in general, Demon Slayer’s incredible combat and substantial story mode make this a must-play. Sure, the exploration sections may disrupt the pacing somewhat, and the online functionality could use some patching, but these issues don’t detract too much from the stellar foundation which CyberConnect2 has put in place.
Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles is an absolutely unmissable game for anime fans, who will relive exciting moments of the saga. I believe it also has the potential to please those who have never followed the animation, due to its very consistent campaign mode. The fighting system is extremely satisfying, simple in its mechanics, friendly to novices, and fun to veterans. It is a fighting game more casual than competitive, very well done and focused on the player experience.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles does the franchise justice and is a strong first console offering. CyberConnect2 has crafted a stylish action game that is fun from start to finish. With free updates planned, this already strong core will only get better as additional content is added.
A somewhat lacking roster and some technical limitations keep it from reaching the highs of Naruto Storm 4, but the foundation is strong. In time, The Hinokami Chronicles can reach or even surpass those heights
