Sifu Reviews
Sifu is a rare gem that deserves to be discovered, tried out and evaluated subjectively by the widest possible pool of users. Just like our experience with Returnal, we find ourselves in front of a product that, besides marking the maturity of its development team, departs from all those clichés indispensable to grab the largest number of users and stands only on its originality and on the skill of its creators in packaging a title that does not give discounts and does not compromise. Sifu is a collection of genres that come together in a satisfying game, punishing in some ways but never unfair. It's a celebration of beat 'em ups, and martial arts cinema, adorned with a distinctive and inspired artwork that exudes style from every pixel. We're sure it won't appeal to everyone who tries it, but it's only right that it should, to avoid a general flattening of the experience that titles like Sifu want to keep varied and, above all, original. For all these reasons we have decided to give Sifu our Award.

A 3D beat 'em up by the developers of Absolver, SIFU is an outstanding action game.
Sifu is not for everyone, but if you're looking for a modern beat‘em’up with an old-school difficulty and amazingly smooth combat, you will be satisfied.

Even though it may present an immensely overwhelming difficulty curve, Sifu constantly keeps its ground and gets players to rise again no matter how many times they are beaten down.
There are issues with the game’s foundation which cannot, nor should not, be ignored, and the constant cycle of death with no easy resolution can be massively demoralising and off-putting. However Sifu remains one of the most entertaining brawlers in recent memory. This is a game that rewards just as quickly as it upsets and it definitely won’t go easy on you and, in turn, you’ll probably go even less easy on your poor control pad.
Despite its ups and downs, Sifu is a game that will satisfy those looking for an extra challenge.

Sifu is a tightly designed kung-fu fighter that doesn't pull any punches on difficulty.
Step into the shoes of a Kung Fu master on a revenge mission. Fight through drug houses, nightclubs and more special locations. Unleash your creativity on groups of enemies with clubs, bottles and steel pipes. Sifu is a tricky game to play, but definitely worth the effort.

Thanks to a very inspired art direction and style, Sifu captures the player with its environments and colors, reaching very high levels during the boss fights. However, the title is not without its flaws, such as problems with camera placement.

An incredible showcase of combat mechanics, at the same time an homage to martial arts cinema and beat 'em up games and a truly unique and fresh take on the roguelike formula.

If you like the martial arts genre in movies, as well as beat 'em up in video games, Sifu may be one of the best video games you've ever played.

A demanding combat system makes Sifu incredibly satisfying to play, but the game’s haphazard homage to Asian culture is filled with flaws.
Sifu is a solid action game. The kung fu techniques were a treat for the eyes, combat is fluid and fun, the main character designs and environments were beautiful, and the difficulty felt just right. Add in the great soundtrack and sound effects, and you got a pretty good package. Unfortunately, the game is held back by some visual issues, a short length, and low replayability. If you’re a kung fu enthusiast, or a big fan of action games with a good amount of difficulty, I think the game is worth the $39.99. However, if you’re looking for a game you can play long after you finish the main stages, you may want to look somewhere else.
It's the one of the most challenging game to complete because players must build up their own control skills instead of leveling up their characters. It is a little disappointing not to considerate keyboard users.

Sifu is a gorgeously presented martial arts beat ’em up that will sometimes manage to get in its own way, but almost always ends up making up for its mistakes with exciting combat and a novel approach to death and failure.
It’s not very often you come across a game with a concept as unique as Sifu. The aging mechanic is an interesting take on roguelikes that provides some serious challenge. The difficulty may be a little high at times, but satisfaction of overcoming the challenge is worth it in the end. With its fast paced action and amazing environments, Sifu is an incredible game that all gamers should give a chance.
Sifu is an absolute blast, with incredibly fun bone-crunching combat and a well-designed world that forces you to improve with each run-through. Unfortunately, Sifu's difficulty and punishing systems just hold it back enough to miss the mark on its potential as a masterpiece.
Another awsome indie that takes ideias from other games to combine with some of its own to give you somenting that needs attention and time.

Boasting an impressive combat system, Sifu excels in the gameplay department but some minor issues and the camera drag it down a bit from fulfilling its potential. Nonetheless a great beat-em-up with its unique concept coupled with impressive art direction.
