Too bad even the technical problems reported, this conversion deserved a very different release, it should be the culmination of the franchise and a launching pad for its third chapter. It is somewhat strange that it has been released in this state, it is curious to know what happened. Removing this great obstacle, The Last of Us Part I PC remains a must-see for those who have never played the original and even for those who have not yet made the leap to this remake. But at this point, I recommend waiting for the updates promised by Naughty Dog.

I hate and love everything Naughty Dog and its developers make me feel through this game. I still love every second of it. It goes without saying that if you have not played The Last of Us before, well there should be no question about whether you should pick this up.

The Last of Us Part I doesn't need to conceive much, and yet it manages to intensify in an absurdly atmospheric way everything that was already brilliant, and thus deliver the definitive experience of the unparalleled narrative masterpiece to Joel and Ellie's journey.

A remake that opens up the possibilities to more players and communities than ever before, The Last of Us Part 1 has never looked or played better, despite the game now being several generations old. It feels natural and completely at home on PlayStation 5 despite the stripped-out multiplayer and the eye-watering price-tag. All that considered, there’s never been a better time or place to enter the world of The Last of Us in a version that’s definitive and ensures the franchise continues to evolve and won’t be lost to time.

While there are legitimate value contentions to make about this quasi-remake, Part I earns the crown as the definitive edition of this seminal title.

For what it’s worth, The Last of Us Part I is an absolute tour de force when it comes to utilising technology to tell a story that cuts deeper this time around, with even more details to wow and amaze those that care to look so closely. This is an excellent PS5 game meant to be enjoyed by all, even if the price might not seem all that worth it after all.

Conceived as an obvious commercial gimmick due to the popularity the work quickly gained, The Last of Us Part 1 is anything but a dishonest and lazily developed piece of work. It is an immense act of love towards fans; a way to match, and in some cases come close to, the aesthetics, technique and gameplay of the astonishing The Last of Us Part 2.

The Last Of Us Part One is a great remake of a masterpiece. The story feels more impactful than ever. The gameplay is more fluid and polished, and everything looks and sounds fantastic. However, the omission of the Factions multiplayer mode means Naughty Dog didn’t remake an entire portion of the game. I understand that Naughty Dog is working on Factions separately, and maybe it comes later in an update. Similar to what Sucker Punch did with Ghost Of Tsushima’s multiplayer. But that still means part of the game just isn’t here.

The definitive way to play Joel and Ellie's already historic adventure. The scenarios and characters are so careful and detailed that everything excites and connects more with the player. The big problem? The lack of extra content for such an exorbitant starting price.

The Last of Us Part I is still an emotional tale with amazing gameplay but signs of age, lack of new story content, or even new bonuses make this amazing title a hard sell for longtime fans.

The Last of Us Part I is a very competent remake of one of the most awarded games of all time. The story of humanity in a completely inhuman world continues to be extraordinary, and the various visual, sound and technical improvements take it to a new level. It is a commendable and admirable renovation work that makes this the best way to live this remarkable adventure. But the absence of multiplayer mode and the fact that there is already a version of great quality and also available to play on a PlayStation 5 may not justify, for now, the return of fans who know this world backwards.

Is The Last of Us Part 1 the best way to play one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time? Undoubtedly. Does that warrant a higher price tag than the original game had? Debatable.

We don't want to argue about whether "The Last of Us Part I" deserves the term remake or not. In terms of technical improvements in any case, because apart from little things that could have been done even better, the new edition looks essentially as we would expect from a native PS5 game. In essence, however, it remains the same game with the same story, the same levels and rather fine adjustments in the area of game balance.

The Last of Us is arguably the best video game ever created, and this PS5 remake is better in every single way. So if the original game was a groundbreaking 10/10 experience, there's absolutely no way this game could be scored worse. Naughty Dog is in a league of its own, and this remake just reaffirms that.

Simply put, it is incredibly challenging to recommend The Last of Us Part I to anyone who owns, or has played, the original release or its remaster. The game is exceptional in its quality, and features the same masterful story that arguably dwarfs that of the sequel. It features some of the most loveable (and hated) characters the video gaming has ever seen, and it looks absolutely stunning. The issue, however, is how it simply does not justify its own existence. There is no doubt how The Last of Us Part I is the definitive edition of the game — it will go down in history as an essential part of gaming. However, the knowledge of how it is, truthfully, nothing more than a visual upgrade with no multiplayer mode, and heavily marketed accessibility features, is downright disappointing – to say the least.

I think The Last of Us is the most important game in the video game industry. It is not only the best looking, but it also delivers one of the most unique storytelling experience in terms of dialogue and cinematography. Having a robust game design that has stood the test of time, the game is a visual spectacle to behold. Even the smallest attention to detail and accessibility options just adds praise for the game. The only thing that can set you back is the pricing of the game for the PS5
