The Last of Us is back with original game, that received some audiovisual overhaul, but nothing really new for the players that already played it earlier. The story is still good, puzzles are still annoying, and there are even some new bugs.

TLoU Part 1 is for super fans of the series or those who missed the first two versions, especially for accessibility reasons. For everyone else, it's hard to recommend spending the 15 or so hours it takes to play through The Last of Us yet again.

The Last of Us Part I and II, were always demanding some sort of entanglement that would bridge all events and story of both games and now, courtesy of This Remake, Two Games Are completely Connected. TLOU Part I, take the dust away from a semi outdated visuals of the first game and turn it into something beautiful and breathtaking, but disappointingly, Naughty Dog didn't implement Interesting Gameplay features of TLOU Part Two such as ability to go prone or evade in this remake. Which is a huge wasted opportunity that could have completely changed the Structure of The first game. Nonetheless, TLOU Part I, clean the old looks and visuals of the first game and gives it a new fresh body that stands out, even compared to Part II. but it's a shame that TLOU Part I combat's potentiality didn't come to life and we are stuck with a rather old school combat system, just with a new fresh look. Should you decide to purchase this Beautiful game, first consider your priorities. are you willing to pay 70$ for a familiar experience with just a fresh look? That's up to you to decide.

Although it doesn't bring as many new features as one might expect from a remake, The Last of Us Part I is an absolute and sublime spectacle from start to finish. It retains all the best qualities that made it a absolute success in its original release and it improves on the technical details that add value to this visceral and impactful journey.

That leads to The Last of Us Part I being both the best version of the game and also extremely difficult to recommend unless money is not a concern. The Last of Us has aged well enough that you don't lose a ton playing the Remastered version, unlike the similar remake Demon's Souls, which took a cult PS3 game that many people had never played and gave it a modern updated release. If you're willing to wait for a price drop or sale, Part I becomes far more appealing because it is a wonderful improvement to an already impressive game. Aside from cost, there's no reason to go back to the older versions, and The Last of Us remains one of the best games in the Sony library.

Playing The Last of Us Part I made me acquire a newfound appreciation for its sequel because even though it's a great game with incredible characters, it actually feels overwhelmingly dated compared to Part II. You have to love those graphics, though; holy heck!

After its shaky debut, it took a long time to recover with updates. Despite all of this, it's great to experience this amazing story on PC.

If it’s not obvious already, we do not recommend purchasing The Last of Us Part I on the PC at its current state. What could have been an easy moneymaker has turned into one of the most disastrous PC launches of recent times. The premium price makes the whole thing even more painful. The quality of the PC port is only doing a disservice to the otherwise excellent experience. The only logical thing to do is wait patiently until the glaring issues are fixed and pick the game when a sale comes around.

To be able to go back to the original The Last of Us with a very close visual retelling to the top notch sequel is nothing short of magnificent.

Of course I can only speak about my own experience here (although the Steam reviews are not tender either). After several hours of adjusting settings and hoping for at least an acceptable experience, I had simply given up hope. Then fight through all kinds of glitches and crashes. There will probably be configurations that the game will work well on. The reality, however, is that most of them are better off waiting for some performance-related patches. Until then, stick with the PS5 version, because in its current state it is a shadow of what the game actually is.

Whether it’s the first time you’re experiencing this incredible survival story for the first time or the 20th, there really isn’t a better looking or performing version of the game. Whether you believe the game needed to be remade or not is beside the point, when so much has been done to make the game visually impressive while also more accessible, it’s opened up the game to be experienced by a whole range of new players. While I do wish the incredibly fun factions mode of the original had been included, The Last Of Us Part 1 perfectly blends incredible visuals and cinematic story telling in a way that only the technical wizards at Naughty Dog are able to do.

At the end of the day, The Last of Us is a two-generation old game already remastered for a new-generation console right after the launch of the PlayStation 4 with better visuals and overall fidelity. Sony, however, decided to take another shot at the game and create a completely new version for the PlayStation 5, introducing the franchise to those who have never played it or are about to watch the HBO series. The reality is that the fans are loyal and will most likely purchase anything related to The Last of Us brand, whether it’s something new or old.

The truth is that our opinion would have been very different if we had to release this analysis at the time the game came out, since the problems it presented were so serious that they made it unplayable, so we prefer to wait. However, over the months, the most serious problems that affected the gameplay have been corrected thanks to the good work of the developers. So if you feel like reliving the adventures of Joel and Ellie on your desktop PC, it's a good time to get closer to the game (perhaps taking advantage of Steam's current summer sales and saving a few euros).

For now, I advise leaving The Last of Us PC port on your wanted list. I can’t recommend anyone spend their hard-earned cash on a port that might struggle to work, depending on their current hardware. In 6 months, this could be a must-own game from PC, but only time will tell, unfortunately.

PC-players have been waiting a long time for The Last of Us, but alas the port is not up to standards. The performance can swing wildly from scene to scene and there are a lot of technical issues. It's a shame, because the gameplay and especially the story is still a masterpiece. We hope Naughty Dog en Iron Galaxy can fix the issues, because a game as The Last of Us Part 1 deserves a good version on PC.

One of the most successful games in gaming history turned into a failed PC port full of optimization issues. Until the issues are fixed, it's hard to recommend it except for very high systems.

The quality of the port is highly questionable, but The Last of Us Part I is still just as fun as it ever was and the story is similarly emotional as ever. However, if you have the option, just play the console version.

Remake of one of the most important games in history, The Last of Us Part I deserved more, much more in its long-awaited arrival on the PC. In its current depressing state, only hardcore enthusiasts of its proposition or gamers with far above average hardware should consider a purchase before further patching; until then, others will be better served with versions already available on other platforms. Here's hoping, then, that both Naughty Dog and Sony learn their lesson: adapting games for the PC is not a simple mission. If platform players are conditioned to wait years and years for a console title, let it at least be served in a palatable way. Otherwise, it will be difficult to classify the result as anything more than indigestible.

Users with varying configurations are reporting serious hardware issues running the game, and even though the worst of my problems happened to be tied to shaders and resources in lieu of crashes and whatnot, there’s still plenty of room for improvement. The Last of Us Part 1 is Sony’s big chance to capture an entirely new audience, and its success will serve as a measure to whether or not there’s a chance its sequel will even come out on PC. Now, if that is to happen, the responsibility now rests on Sony’s shoulders in getting this port up and running well before its disastrous reception ruins what otherwise should be a momentous occasion for PC players. Such an arrival on the platform deserves much better.
