Stray is a delightful adventure full of beautiful visuals and endearing characters. I thoroughly enjoyed my time exploring the post-apocalyptic city from the unique perspective of a feline who's dedicated to helping out the remaining robotic residents.

Stray astounds with its beautiful graphics, quirky characters, and puzzles that bring out the best and worst in a cat.

Stray is a stunning work of art. While it’s primarily an atmospheric journey, it offers enough meaningful activities, intriguing characters, and beautiful locations to explore, making it stand out clearly from the crowd. Additionally, the adventure as a whole is so cohesive, beautiful, and memorable that it can be recommended to just about anyone — even those who aren’t particularly fond of cats.

Stray is a title we highly recommend to all gamers. The review score is, however, a weighted average between the excellent experience we had and the lack of depth in the gameplay mechanics, which we still attribute some weight to because we believe gameplay is the most important part of any video GAME.

A stray cat, an ingenious drone, a cyberpunk city, strange inhabitants. All this and more can be found in Stray, an excellent port of the hit Nintendo Switch title.

I finished Stray in about 5 hours. It's a short game that can be extended a little longer if you want to find all the collectibles, but I have to tell you that the lenght of the experience is perfect. Everything happens at the right time and nothing takes too long, playing this from start to finish is like watching a great movie with a story that leaves you perfectly satisfied. Despite having a much larger universe than what is shown in the game, there is no need for Stray 2, what we have here is enough and beautifully wraps up the journey of an orange cat with his robot friend.

Stray is a phenomenal game with a great premise, excellent mechanics, and a story that will tug at your heart-strings. However, its port to the Nintendo Switch hardware is a little substandard. If a Switch was the only gaming hardware you owned, or you wanted the handheld experience, I could confidently suggest grabbing a copy. However, if you were planning to play it predominantly on a TV or monitor, I would suggest picking it up for another console instead (and if you haven’t yet, you absolutely should).

Stray is an adventure that aims to engage with its story and fascinating world rather than complex gameplay mechanics. Perfect for those seeking a short, atmospheric experience, the Nintendo Switch port retains the game's magic, making it a recommended choice for portable console lovers.

Stray makes the port to the Switch and the orange ball of fur lets us immerse ourselves in a dystopian world full of drones and robots. If you like cats, you should take a closer look at the game and be patient with the awkward controls.

A truly unique, disgustingly cute, visually gorgeous, post-apocalyptic cat game.

Stray successfully translates the typical behavior of a cat into a fun and cohesive gameplay experience set within an intriguing sci-fi world.

Stray didn't want to tell an epic tale spanning oceans, it didn't need towering bosses with glowing weak points to create the greatest tension. What it did do was weave a tale that the smallest creature can make the biggest difference and that despite our seat as the apex species, that perch is ever precarious, there's always something ready to take the spot and life will continue. It's certainly something that we need to be reminded of periodically.

Stray is a charming 'cat adventure' that succeeds in making us identify with the little feline protagonist and in making us experience its beautiful from the point of view of this agile creature. The interesting story could have had a better ending and some sections are a little too tiring or repetitive, but if you like original and different titles, and especially if you love cats, this is definitely a game to try.

Stray is a short but sweet adventure game that will warm your heart. Few titles meld puzzles, world-building, and well-written characters so harmoniously. Though Stray is rough around the edges, it's a promising first title from BlueTwelve Studios with so much to appreciate. If you're in the market for a relaxing title with an adorable protagonist, invest in Stray, the cutest release of 2022. Come for the cat; stay for the adventure!

Stray has got to be one of the most unique and heartfelt narratives I’ve played in a long while. As a former cat owner there was something truly heart-wrenching about playing this game and even if you’ve never owned a pet in your life, you would want to take our feline friend home with you.

Stray brings with it a short but unique experience. Whether you're walking through cities or rubbing up against the legs of robots, you're sure to find minute, smiley-sketchy details, the result of the incredible work of not only Bluetwelve, but also Annapurna for betting on them.

But that’s all: it’s a good little game. I enjoyed it, but I highly doubt I’ll go back to it. My time with Stray didn’t change my life or make me rethink gaming or give me bold new insight into what it means to be alive. It was a game, and I appreciate that it exists, and that’s sort of it. If you can wait till you can play it on Gamepass or the like, I think it’s perfectly acceptable to wait. If you are unfathomably into cats and cyberpunk, then sure, pick this up. But as for me? I’ve had my Fancy Feast fill, and now I’m going to wander off into the tall grass. Just like I was taught.

Best of all though is the experience of playing as our cat hero. In that regard, Stray really is a game like no other. And the team at BlueTwelve Studio have done a tremendous job at realising the feline fantasy. Even though it’s disappointingly short, Stray is a must-play game this summer.
