LEGO Bricktales Reviews
Net of numerous positive aspects, such as the artistic direction, the level design or the humor that permeates the adventure, LEGO Bricktales unfortunately presents itself as an imperfect product.

For a studio that hasn't previously made any Lego titles, I feel they checked pretty much every box on what makes a Lego game a Lego game. This isn't for everyone but isn't made to be for everyone. If you are someone who seeks building in a game, I highly recommend Lego Bricktales. People often say that they don't enjoy Minecraft because there aren't guidelines or a direction to the building. I believe Lego Bricktales is the perfect solution and encourage people to give it a shot.
LEGO Bricktales takes the simple building blocks we know and love and wraps them within a cute puzzle environment. The satisfying builds and relaxing setting result in a journey into every kid's dream: living in a world made of LEGO.
Lego Bricktales returns the IP to its block-placing origins with fun puzzles that can certainly challenge the mind. While it doesn't allow you to do whatever you want, the satisfaction that comes with problem-solving each puzzle is quite notable.
A soothing and enjoyable adventure with a smattering of smart LEGO-building puzzles and a dose of metroidvania exploration, LEGO Bricktales is a polished and fun way to while away a few quiet evenings.
Lego Bricktales' sumptuous environments and largely clever puzzles shine despite its occasionally safe, repetitive design and difficult controls, though. This isn't just the ideal game for anyone looking to get their Lego fix, but for anyone who loves a good puzzle game. Its mind-tickling puzzles and cute writing serve as icing on the cake for what's already one of the most memorable and creative uses for Legos in a video game period. I only hope ClockStone has the opportunity to make more games like Bricktales.
Lego Bricktales doesn't break much new ground, but its satisfying and manageable build experience meshes well with its short-but-sweet world structures to provide an easily digestible and relaxing Lego experience.
LEGO Brickstales captures the fun and creativity of LEGO really well. Unfortunately, this fun but flawed construction-based puzzle game struggles to live up to the potential it shows in its first few hours.
LEGO Bricktales is a pleasant creative adventure which allows us to stimolate our ingenuity, but unfortunately its own gameplay stops the game's potential.

Lego Bricktales is a fresh and clever twist on the puzzle genre, even if the controls could be more intuitive.
Being fans of LEGO and puzzle games, we wanted to love LEGO Bricktales. We’ve found it very hard to do so, however. Crashes are one thing, but when the gameplay itself is hampered by fiddly controls and the feeling of repetition, there’s not a great deal of fun to be had.
A nice-looking little game, and the idea of solving puzzles by building things out of LEGO bricks is great. However, LEGO Bricktales simply lacks in story and almost everything else that could have made it a more interesting product. Here's to hoping that the idea gets revisited and improved in the future.
LEGO Bricktales is a creative concept that takes advantage of the brand on which it is based. The way it transported us back to childhood to reconnect with our inner child and remember how we build fantastic things is brilliant. We highly recommend it for anyone who wants to relax for a while.

Lego Bricktales is the type of game that completely fills you with nostalgic joy. Every time you go into the building mode it feels like opening a new lego set you just bought. Every time you jumble around the world it feels like playing with all your Legos in you tiny kids' bedroom. This game made me think hard about the physics-based Lego construction work I had to do and motivated me to think outside of the 'blocks'. It's fun, addicting, full of great humor and despite minor issues I had with the game, I must recommend this to every Lego fan.

LEGO Bricktales deserves credit for trying new things and incorporating the core building experience into gameplay, but the game doesn't quite hit the mark when it comes to polish. That said, if you're willing to be patient with it, there is fun to be had. It's just not as direct as putting together an actual LEGO set.
While the normal LEGO games are all about action and cooperation, Bricktales's focus on creativity and puzzle solving makes it feel more grounded than the fantastical LEGO Star Wars and Marvel games. This is a game anyone with an understanding of the toy can pick up and enjoy. While a more mature single player will probably not stick around too long, this is one that families will definitely appreciate on whatever platform they choose to play.
LEGO Bricktales is exactly the kind of game you would expect as both a work of Thunderful Games and a product of the LEGO brand. Seeing your creations come to life, even visually sickening ones, is a rewarding experience and a must-play for LEGO enthusiasts.
LEGO Bricktales masterfully combines rewarding exploration with clever construction-based puzzles to make for a highly entertaining formula. The controls can be annoying when you're building things but once you see it all come together, you'll have a great time.
For its price point, it provides a good 15-20 hours of gameplay at a steady pace through some vibrantly rich and beautifully illustrated dioramas. The best part was seeing my son’s face when we returned to the endgame of piecing the theme park together and hearing him shout “YES” at the end was what made it a wholesome and memorable experience. Whilst it is a casual adventure, it is one that absolutely will scratch an itch for all LEGO fans of any age.
