Starfield Reviews
Starfield is a good game but not exceptional, it has a decent enough story and enough content to see it through but just be aware if you are wanting a deep space exploration game then this may not be for you. Starfield has elements of a game set in space but it doesn't ever fully utilize these, it is something the developers could work on for sure but if they do is something that remains to be seen.
A vast and immersive space adventure, Starfield offers strong exploration, solid gunplay, and a compelling sense of discovery on PS5, enhanced by meaningful improvements and added content. However, it is held back by repetitive side missions, limited enemy AI, and RPG systems that lack deeper refinement, preventing it from reaching its full potential.

Starfield on PS5 is without a doubt the best console version of the game to date. Free Lanes makes travel noticeably smoother, X-Tech adds more depth to loot and builds, and base building and shipbuilding also benefit from the extra features. However, Starfield's core problems have not disappeared. The main story remains boring, many quests still feel outdated, the gunplay is fine but standard, the pace is slow, and you still spend a lot of time on loading screens. Free Lanes makes the game better, but not fundamentally different. Unfortunately, Starfield falls short if you are looking for a game to extensively explore space and make optimal use of your spaceship, but otherwise, it is a fine Bethesda game. Nothing more, nothing less.

Starfield's Free Lanes update and Terran Armada DLC add a generous amount of content to a game that desperately needed depth, not volume. The free update brings welcome quality-of-life improvements, a surprisingly fun land vehicle, and the cruise mode concept, though the latter feels like a band-aid over the game's fundamental structural issues. Terran Armada's $10 campaign is dragged down by repetitive incursions you can never fully disable, a forgettable villain faction, and excessive padding, though companion Delta and the Terran weapons are genuine highlights. The PS5 Pro performance is disappointing for a two-year-old title, with hard crashes at 60fps and inconsistent frame rates even in empty space. Starfield remains the most ambitious sci-fi sandbox on consoles, but ambition without polish only gets you so far. A better game is buried in here somewhere. This update just didn't dig deep enough to find it.

From the very first moment, Starfield impresses with its grand ambition — from its expansive world and attention to detail, to its captivating side quests and enjoyable gameplay mechanics. However, it ultimately falls short of the high expectations placed upon it, due to several disappointing factors — most notably poor AI, excessive repetition, and, perhaps most dishearteningly, a lacklustre approach to exploration, which was expected to be the core of the adventure. Starfield is a good game, but one that would have felt far more impressive had it been released a few years earlier.

I can easily see Starfield being Game of the Year and being one of the best reasons to have a Game Pass subscription.
Starfield delivers an expansive spacefaring adventure filled with endless activities, but its shallowness and rigid quest design prevent it from reaching true greatness. While it captures Bethesda’s signature charm, its release timing against Baldur’s Gate 3 highlights its limitations in depth and player agency.

Starfield is a new beginning. Not only for Bethesda but for Xbox as a whole. With excellent writing, stunning graphics, and thrilling gameplay it makes the galaxy yours to explore, shape, and live in. It is a wonderous tapestry to experience your story in a way that only the best have done before.
Starfield has completely captivated me on multiple levels with its stunning graphics, solid combat, engaging storyline, and immersive characters. Even with its restrictions on exploration, Starfield is one of the best RPGs on the market that will satisfy you for hundreds of hours to come. This may just be my game of the year. I highly recommend anyone to try Starfield for themselves.
It is far from a seamless transition from any other previous Bethesda game into Starfield, and that’s perfectly fine, because with all that Starfield has to offer, it’s worth it to learn how the game works; I was scared this game wouldn’t click for me, but four hours in and I was hooked like nothing else I’ve played to this point this year.
Bethesda delivers an expansive space experience with Starfield, blending its signature RPG formula with one of the strongest main story plots from its flagship titles. While the monotonous combat may leave some players wanting more, there’s a lot to love here. The immersive cities, engaging plot, and meaningful character interactions make Starfield a worthy addition to Bethesda’s legacy, offering countless hours of exploration and engagement in the Settled Systems.
Starfield is a 100% Bethesda RPG whose only real flaw is being too anchored to past game design elements instead of looking forward. Despite some limitations, it's a vast game offering hundreds of hours of gameplay with well-established mechanics and a captivating narrative that keeps players engaged even beyond the credits.

Maybe not the ultimate sci-fi game we were hoping for before launch, but Starfield has a lot to offer to both sci-fi fans and fans of Bethesda's games.
After 25 years of stories from The Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, Bethesda Game Studios invites fans of great role-playing games to reach for the stars. We've been waiting a long time for a game that proves that Todd Howard hasn't lost his ability to inspire and inspire, and it's finally here and we're having a lot of fun.

Since its announcement it has proved to be one of the most anticipated games of the year. It certainly did not disappoint, even with its flaws, which make it almost unique in the genre. Once again Bethesda creates a cult game that, looking at the other games released in 2023, can easily be a candidate for GOTY.

The game is very much what you make it, and choosing what you want to do, what systems you want to interact with or completely ignore makes for a really rewarding and diverse experience that most people are going to love.
Starfield is a space action RPG, the new universe in more than 25 years that Bethesda has created. With an intriguing story and a universe full of planets and possibilities, you will not get bored with everything you can do in this new installment.

Starfield aims high and delivers an expansive galaxy ripe for exploration, but it stumbles in its execution.
In essence, if you're a fan of space adventures, compelling narratives, and in-depth exploration, Starfield is likely to provide you with all of that. However, it's advisable to approach the game with a degree of patience because, at least in my experience, especially as you reach the conclusion, it tends to provoke mixed reactions.
