Final Fantasy XV Reviews
Final Fantasy XV marries elements that made the series so well loved, with fresh new ideas and inspiration from Western RPGs, and manages to be both a love letter to the series and something brand new. It's so easy to get attached and invested in the story of Noct and crew, despite the game's several flaws, but there are indeed too many aspects that hold the adventure back from reaching its full potential. There are key moments that will be pleasing to long-time fans, but just be aware that there are some drawbacks to this otherwise engrossing role-playing escapade.
You can't overlook the originality and the amount of love that oozes from the true heart of Final Fantasy XV.
The first is an amazingly interesting world-exploration game filled with great characters, interesting concepts, with the potential to expand; or a nonsensical, linear story game that feels it does not need to explain major portions of itself and leaves the player asking themselves "Why?" constantly. The world exploration, side quests, hunts, and clever travel banter is worth the purchase but the main story is not.
A totally competent entry in the franchise that fans and newcomers will enjoy, even if that means they won't necessarily be floored by it.
After ten long years of development, Final Fantasy XV ends up being more style than substance.
Final Fantasy XV's decade-long maelstrom of doubt, chaos, and suspense has somehow wrought an effective tale from the bonds of brotherhood and an engaging game from coordinated monster obliteration. The embroiled project is not sacrosanct; an incongruous plot, mechanical quest lines, and a haphazard world constitute a jet impacting the ground at dangerous speed. Pieces are everywhere, but Final Fantasy XV ultimately survives its crash landing through an impressive force of will.
Considering its development history, it's unsurprising that Final Fantasy 15 lacks crucial focus and depth when it comes to its largely stodgy tale of Oracles and Crystals or its unspectacular combat, with both found particularly at fault during the game's dour concluding chapters. Yet like Prompto's incessant nagging to go ride Chocobos, it's easy to give in to the breezy charm of the game's luscious open-world and the whimsical antics of its Tumblr-baiting bro-tagonists.
Final fantasy XV has solid open-world exploration, enjoyable action, and plenty of content, but it's packaged together with awkward gameplay decisions and a mess of a story.
Final Fantasy XV is a game about a journey between friends and for a journey, it's a fine one. The game has got issues ranging from poor character development to dull combat and generic side quests, but it's also something special thanks to memorable friends and amazing music. The developer wanted to make a game for fans and newcomers alike and they made many changes to the typical Final Fantasy formula. The result is a game that is not like what you would expect, but for those who want to find something to love here, there's something to find.
It may have problems, but Final Fantasy XV is bursting with personality and it's hard to dislike. Like any true friend, you'll learn to love it despite its flaws.

Some parts of this game will shine more than others for many gamers, and people will remember this game differently. This is a big adventure on the usual scale of a Final Fantasy game and we can see the great production value behind it. But the game lacked the vision to bring its best parts together to make it the great overall experience that we all wanted.

Final Fantasy XV is nowhere close to the game that we should have received after 10 years of waiting—but it also isn't anywhere close to the trainwreck that it easily could have been. While the storytelling is a mess and the game feels incomplete far too often, there's enough to love here—from combat, to exploration, to the four Japanese pretty boys that make up your main party—to make FFXV a road trip worth going on.
The world is gorgeous, the characters are well written, and there are some grand moments throughout, but there are some significant issues with pacing and linearity.
Square Enix has not been able to claim the throne with Final Fantasy XV. This videogame has lights but also shadows, like having the name of Final Fantasy, which is a huge responsibility, and also shows why not every videogame is meant to have an open world.

Lacklustre side missions and difficulty balance issues can't fully tarnish this beautiful adventure in a grand setting. Final Fantasy XV is a game that fought hard to exist, and does the series proud
This isn't probably the Final Fantasy you were expecting, nevertheless is one worth your time. it is far from being a perfect game, mainly because of terrible second half, but it succeeds where other Final Fantasy have failed: bringing the saga in the modern era.

Final Fantasy XV no doubt has its issues and it’s far from perfect but it is one of the most enjoyable games of the year. The game opens with the statement “A Final Fantasy for fans and first-timers” and this could not be truer. The much needed and natural change in gameplay should definitely attract new players and fans alike. The planned updates should give players a sense of ease with regards to how well the game will be supported in the future. It should also give players even more reason to return after they have completed it. Give the sheer amount of content packed into the game is definitely a worthy investment and will keep you entertained for many, many hours.
Let's get the obvious question out of the way – was Final Fantasy XV worth the wait? Honestly, from the jumbled storyline it seems the project has to have been changed, re-jigged, and re-thought so many times that I doubt whether the final product resembles the original concept fans were waiting for all this time. What the game is ultimately, is Square-Enix's response to more modern open-world RPG's and bringing Final Fantasy up to speed to play in that space.
Final Fantasy XV is a very good entry of the series. The game has a great atmosphere, entertaining combat system and a lot of small details that will please many players. Whether you're a fan of the series or not, you can't go wrong with Final Fantasy XV.
