Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Reviews
This installment builds on and improves upon what made REMAKE so great, namely beautiful scenery and epic music in addition to the best in class battle system, while one of that game's flaws, namely the dearth of side content, although the story segments can still suffer from filler content at times. It expands, improves Nd subverts enough to create a thrilling experience for veterans and newcomers alike.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is awesome. FFVII Remake's excellent battle system is further enhanced, the story leaves the player (whether a veteran or newcomer to the series) intrigued to know what will happen, and there is an immense amount of content to be explored.

Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth knocks it out of the park. It takes the already excellent first game and expands it to a bigger and more populated world. The combat has been improved, the dungeon design is better, the story hits a lot more than it misses, and from start to finish, it was pretty much everything I could've wanted. Only a few nagging problems keep it from perfection, and it's a love letter to everything that makes Final Fantasy VII great.
FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH takes what made REMAKE work and expands on the formula in nearly every way imaginable from its rewarding combat and exploration to its absolutely hilarious humour. As a long-time fan, I'm incredibly happy with what it has to offer.
With "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth", Square Enix released the most anticipated sequel of the year on 29 February 2024. "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth" is a true RPG masterpiece and has exceeded all our expectations. Nevertheless, the question remains as to how the third and final instalment should be designed, as Rebirth has set the bar pretty high. It even goes so far that the remake, which is due to be released in 2020, seems more like a prologue in hindsight.

Reliving the story of Final Fantasy VII has been a powerful experience. Rebirth delivers a rollercoaster of emotions and surprisingly managed to impact me just as much as the original.

I don't claim to hold the truth, but if you're fundamentally opposed to how Square Enix has handled this remake trilogy, this review won’t change your mind about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. However, I believe it’s a shame and unfair to Nomura and the team, who've delivered a compelling RPG experience. Despite technical flaws, the game offers dynamic combat and varied structure, making it one of the most beautiful and engaging Final Fantasy games.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an absolute masterpiece and the best Square Enix-branded title of recent years. A monumental work in which one breathes the love for the original work, here retraced and expanded, and which shows the new generations the true spirit of a saga capable of winning the hearts of millions of fans. There are those who will be able to make some criticisms against certain narrative choices (in our opinion, to be evaluated globally only with the arrival of the third and final chapter), the excessive abundance of content and some technical smears (especially of the Performance mode). But these are minutiae that disappear in the face of the greatness of this work, capable of reminding the whole world that Japan is always ready to amaze and wonder.

Anyone who played the original Final Fantasy 7 must check out this game. Likewise, anyone who enjoyed Remake back in 2020 should continue that story here. Rebirth serves many roles very well. It excels as a JRPG, a sequel, and a modern-generation video game. We may still be early in the year, but this is an instant Game of the Year contender.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a long-lived title, rich in every aspect, but it can be too long-winded and repetitive at times for players who don't have the time to devote to it and are looking for a faster, more dynamic experience, to run through at breakneck speed and finish without a second thought. For those who instead choose to immerse themselves in the adventure of Cloud and his companions, the Square Enix title can easily be defined as ‘the JRPG par excellence’: a mixture of playfulness, breathtaking landscapes, iconic characters, laughter, emotions and freedom that is truly commendable. The Red Queen, the card game, stands out among the mini-games, while the combat system improves and deepens the already excellent mechanics of FF7 Remake. The side assignments are varied and well narrated, while the main storyline manages to give all the party members their fair share, making them more human and less of a character. Despite a few technical flaws and a few short, unsuccessful gameplay sections, our rating could only be fully positive.

Unfathomably, Square did it. 'Rebirth' is the kind of gigantic, expansive Japanese RPG that used to define summer vacations in the 90s, but with all of the modern luxuries of big-budget gaming in 2024. It’s lavishly produced from beginning to end, featuring capital-G Great side activities, a miraculous combat system, and a story that actually sticks the landing.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth serves as a heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of one of gaming's most iconic titles. It's a labor of love that pays homage to the original while boldly venturing into new territory. By reimagining the beloved 1997 classic for modern audiences, Rebirth breathes new life into every corner of its meticulously crafted setting, unforgettable characters, and world-class storytelling. Gone are the limitations of 90s technology, replaced by stunning visuals, engaging gameplay mechanics, and a narrative depth that remains to be emotionally resonant at its very core. Yet, amidst the modern advancements, lies a profound respect for the source material—a recognition of the countless hours fans spent in the original, expanding upon it in ways that were once unimaginable. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is truly the best reward one can get for being such an avid fan of the series and is truly a masterpiece of RPG Gaming.
"Final Fantasy VII Rebirth surpasses Final Fantasy VII Remake with its addition of an open world, allowing players to explore Gaia freely and discover plenty along the way. The game features stunning visuals, a fantastic soundtrack, and enriched storytelling with iconic scenes and new twists, offering both nostalgia and surprises for fans. With enjoyable minigames, enhanced combat through Synergy Abilities, and three new characters with unique styles, even newcomers to Final Fantasy will find this JRPG a great time to jump in. Square Enix has truly outdone itself with this release."

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a fantastic next step in the Remake Trilogy. It builds upon what was already established in the first game and has broken down the walls, allowing for a much more open experience that allows for deeper interaction with the game’s world and between the game’s characters.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is part of the best FF-themed project of the last years. The combat system is even better than before, with great world building and characters backstories. While some aspects might be flawed - namely out of combat gameplay, world interactions and the ending- the game clearly has extraordinary quality overall.

Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth combines the best that RPGs have to offer. The interweaving of linear missions and the open world works perfectly. The side quests are varied, as are the various mini-games. But the story and the unique combat system deserve the most tremendous praise, which has been dramatically improved compared to the first part.

Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth is the direct sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake. You soon dive into the open world that is bigger than you dared to dream. The game is of high quality in looks and story. There is also plenty to do. It plays nicely although the fighting is sometimes a bit on the difficult side. For some it is too big, but for many it will be an open world rpg that people have dreamed of.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth outshines its predecessor in every aspect by providing a vast world to explore, numerous mini-games to master, and an expansive story free of filler content. However, it falls short of replicating the emotional resonance of the original’s pivotal climax. Nevertheless, it excels in developing relationships, delving deeper into character exploration, and introducing new, unforgettable story elements.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is surprisingly fun, comical and further improves on the already excellent ATB combat system. It's already one of the contenders for best game of the year.

It’s safe to say that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is an incredible adaptation of the original game, made by people who really understood the essence of the original game on the PlayStation. With its captivating storyline, refined gameplay mechanics, and impressive attention to detail, it's a must-play for fans of the series and newcomers alike (who started with Remake). While it's not without its flaws, such as lengthy side quests and one too many systems, the overall experience is nothing short of remarkable. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is not a game you will regret sinking 100+ hours into. It is a very welcome addition into the Final Fantasy VII franchise as it is not just a game; it's an unforgettable journey that will leave you craving more.
