Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Reviews
The first three Uncharted games are among the best titles on PS3, and they hold their own majestically on PS4. If you didn't play the games on Sony's older console, and you're even remotely a fan of the genre, purchasing the collection is a no-brainer. If you already purchased the three titles separately on PS3, then the reasons to double dip are more limited, but if you love the series, this is definitely a very solid buy.
While it's possible to be disappointed by the lack of new material, The Nathan Drake collection makes three of the PS3's finest games one of the best things you can buy for PS4. Bluepoint's upgrades drag the visuals straight into the next-gen era, while subtle improvements to the gameplay make the first Uncharted even stronger.
While there are small elements of all three bundled titles that have failed to stand the test of time, this is still a stellar trilogy, with stories and set-pieces that generally tend to better most modern games. Of course, existing fans will already know what wonders await them – but newcomers should brace themselves for 30 or so hours of solid gold.
The HD remaster in particular does wonders for the series and makes Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an easy recommendation for PS4 owners.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is probably one of the best remastered collections I've ever played. If you own the Uncharted games, they look much better in 1080p at a smooth 60 fps. If you've never played them, now is the time to get in on the action. Great games, great collection.
Missing bells and whistles aside, these three exemplary games have never looked or played better than they do here, so whether you've played them before or not, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection should be in your library. These games have aged remarkably well, they're still an absolute blast to play, and their characters are as charming and memorable as ever.
The Nathan Drake Collection is a successful gathering of the Uncharted franchise. It brings together three of Sony's most enjoyable games into one seamless experience.
I really enjoyed re-visiting this franchise again and even though the first game is starting to look a little dated, the other two sequels are far superior and not only play but look great on the PlayStation 4. Add in professional voice acting and a killer soundtrack and Uncharted the Nathan Drake is great value for money that allows gamers to experience the franchise again or for newcomers to see what all the fuss was about.
While not as complete or all-around "perfect" as one might hope, this is still a must-have release for PS4 owners.
"Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" is more than the typical remastered collection. It's a great way for fans to relive some of the best games of the last generation. It's also great for anyone who never owned a PS3. This is a huge piece of Sony's exclusive pedigree. This is the adventure genre at its best.
[T]here's little reason not to own this phenomenally remastered collection of beloved PS3 classics and rediscover the treasures on PS4.
An utterly essential bundle for newcomers and veterans alike, thanks to the sheer value for money and huge technical improvements to three already incredible games.
With an excellent trio of ports from Bluepoint and the fourth game on the way in March, there's never been a better time to play these games, whether a newcomer to the series or someone looking to relive some of the PlayStation 3's best games.
Uncharted's compilation transcends simple remasters with attention to artistic and technical detail.
