Missing bells and whistles aside, these three exemplary games have never looked or played better than they do here, so whether you've played them before or not, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection should be in your library. These games have aged remarkably well, they're still an absolute blast to play, and their characters are as charming and memorable as ever.

An excellent remaster of three of the PlayStation 3's best looking games, but none of them have aged quite as gracefully as you might expect.

With Uncharted 2 and 3, though, Naughty Dog transcended Drake's own small beginnings. The Nathan Drake Collection is a firsthand account of Naughty Dog's growth as a storyteller, and this collection is the best way to relive that history, and witness its transformation up close.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is probably one of the best remastered collections I've ever played. If you own the Uncharted games, they look much better in 1080p at a smooth 60 fps. If you've never played them, now is the time to get in on the action. Great games, great collection.

The HD remaster in particular does wonders for the series and makes Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an easy recommendation for PS4 owners.

With an excellent trio of ports from Bluepoint and the fourth game on the way in March, there's never been a better time to play these games, whether a newcomer to the series or someone looking to relive some of the PlayStation 3's best games.

While the Uncharted series does have few bumps and bruises, and Drake's wrinkles have deepened over time, fans of the Drake's story, and action adventure games alike, couldn't have asked for anything better. The collection highlights everything great about the Uncharted series, and offers up a sizeable, and thrilling adventure for those willing to brave the wilds.

Despite the market becoming saturated with remakes, re-masters, and re-releases, the Nathan Drake Collection is one that both fans of the series will enjoy for its slight improvements, and, those that missed it the first time around can enjoy as a series that stands up pretty well to father time.

A sumptuous remaster, but the games themselves have aged badly.

All three Uncharted games are must-plays, and Bluepoint Games has done an exceptional job porting the trilogy over on PlayStation 4 with The Nathan Drake Collection. The 1080p HD visuals and 60 frames-per-second add a fresh coat of paint that make all three entries look and feel relatively ageless. The set pieces are as thrilling as ever, and the characters are still charming and well written. But the lack of a multiplayer component is one strange and noticeable decision.

If you were already a fan of the series, this remastered bundle will be worth picking up. Those who are a bit more cynical, as I was, may very well find themselves surprised by the time they've slogged through all three of them. Pleasantly so.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection might not be that appealing for those who played the Uncharted trilogy on PlayStation 3, but for everyone else it's simply a must buy, particularly if you plan to get Uncharted 4 as well next year.

The Nathan Drake Collection presents a trilogy of single-player adventures at their technical best, but the value proposition will depend on series experience and a few matters of preference.
