Despite its technical issues and many bugs, Kingdom Come Deliverance is an excellent and really unique RPG. Its system reaches depths that has never been seen before, and assumes its diehard historical aspect at the risk of cutting itself off from a big part of the public. Here is a true ode to the European medieval period, and eventually the typical game that you will love or hate with passion.

If you can look past the annoying bugs and obtuse mechanics, Kingdom Come: Deliverance's strong sense of believable, historical realism will undoubtedly cast a spell on anyone that gives the game a chance. This is a must-play for fans of lifestyle simulators and medieval RPGs.

Kingdom Come is complex and difficult to access. However, if you get involved in it, you will experience an incredibly coherent RPG world.

This is an ambitious game, polished to perfection when it comes to atmosphere, but rough and cumbersome in many of its moment-to-moment interactions.

Despite its lack of polish, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an engaging ride. If players are willing to embrace the beauty of history and the challenge of survival in a world that cares nothing for its inhabitants, role-playing doesn’t come much more satisfying than this.

A much more realistic take on the Elder Scrolls formula which will delight some fans of that series while frustrating others.

I really wanted to like Kingdom Come: Deliverance more than I did, but at the end of the day the conflicting mechanics only compound the technical and narrative flaws the further you get into the game.

This ambitious title from a new developer impresses, but technical issues hold it up considerably.

I've had a lot to say for a game I'm not ready to pass judgement on quite yet, but it's safe to say that I'm absolutely blown away by what Warhorse has put together.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is not completely awful. It's just not very good. Sure, it does have some good ideas and some interesting mechanics, but for every good idea, there are ten that are just bloody bewildering. Warhorse seems to have valued realism over fun and enjoyment with Deliverance, but to be honest, it's not even that realistic. It's just a bloody boring buggy mess of a game, but one that isn't completely terrible. Every cloud and all that.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance guarantees excellent fun. It truly is a unique RPG that has all the qualities needed to become a cult classic among the fans of more hardcore games. The world, the story and the urge to explore are superb. Unfortunately, some technical issues and a controversial saving system can taint the overall impression.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance attempts to shake up the Western RPG by shedding familiar fantasy tropes and focusing on realistic mechanics and historical events.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a great game that can appeal to many people. A true RPG fan will love this game. KCD is a truly immersive experience where you will lose yourself for hours on end. The open-ended gameplay allows for you to accomplish your goal in a multitude of ways. Combat is not straightforward, and it is hard all while being the best it can be. Players will be able to mold Henry into the medieval character they want to be.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance could be a great game. Sadly, bugs and bad optimization made it impossible to reach that level of quality.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance has clearly had a lot of love and effort put into it, but it's unapologetically appealing to a very specific niche. The authenticity and realism is like no other, and that niche is bound to be pulled into its world for hours on end. Unfortunately, this dedication to realism is ironically what really stopped me from immersing myself into the well realised world of Bohemia, which is a huge shame.

There are incredible things going on in Kingdom Come: Deliverance that it's a shame I have to score it lower than I would like, due to the issues with bugs and glitches that soil the experience.

We all have that one bar that we like to go to. The locals don’t like it very much and it’s got its problems but that is “our” bar that we’ve grown fond of. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the equivalent of that bar for me. It has its problems, some of which would be damned to hell were it any other game. Although there’s a reason you haven’t heard too much bad press about it. It’s incredibly easy to forgive the game of its failings when it offers this much quintessential RPG gameplay and fantastic world design. Warhorse Studios have taken the time to build a snapshot of today’s Czech Republic and wind back the clock on its design all the way to the 15th Century. An essential part to creating a game that feels rewarding and fun is building a learning process for the player first. A process of gradual self discovery. Kingdom Come: Deliverance offers that up in spades and if Henry sucks at fighting, flirting or horse riding it’s only because he hasn’t done enough of it. As a result, his ineptitude is never frustrating. It’s just a signal to the player that there’s a heck of a lot of grinding to be done. If you’re into that kind of thing, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is for you. It will provide you with literally hundreds of hours of taking care of Henry and sheepishly stepping into the next big event, hoping things will be OK. When all’s said and done Kingdom Come: Deliverance is nothing short of impressive and will be even more so once we get a few patches. A grown up RPG for grown up players
