With a manor and its surrounding gardens, Arabella has more than a roof of her own to cultivate both fantastic plants and scientific treatises. Botany Manor uses the historical context of a Victorian female scholar to build an ingenious exploration puzzle game, delivering the satisfaction of solving riddles while illustrating a clever historical insight represented by the protagonist's overlooked intellectual life. Both narrative and gameplay are bounded together in our minds by their clues and fragments, making this game a beautiful and worthy whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.

While the story may not be the primary focus and the gameplay is more meditative than energetic, its charm lies in its tranquil beauty and engaging puzzles.

Botany Manor can easily be completed in a day. While this may seem short and the linear story of Botany Manor might mean there is little replay value, the beauty and relaxing nature of the game will bring me back wherever I am craving a stroll through a beautiful English garden.

Botany Manor is a charming puzzle game with a lovely setting, a relaxed mood, and fun puzzles you can spend an afternoon with! While recommended for fans of both puzzles and botany, the three-hour runtime may be steep for the price point.

A fun and pretty puzzle game. Not among the best ones in this genre, but still well worth of your time.

Cozy means something different to everyone. For me, a cozy game is about a welcoming atmosphere, no death, and a slow pace. That description fits Botany Manor to a tee. The world is so lovingly crafted, the grounds so abundant and colourful, that I’d like to stay there forever. I have screenshots of every room I’ve been in because they are perfectly decorated from every angle. The logical puzzles require careful observation (and sometimes backtracking once or twice) yet are somehow simultaneously quite straightforward. Botany Manor is exactly the kind of cozy puzzle/gardening sim that I’ve always wanted, save for a couple small bothers. I’m already eagerly anticipating my return to the manor.

Botany Manor manages to mix puzzles neatly built with the sole purpose of teaching more about plants with a sensible background story about a woman who fought against many forms of prejudice in an older period. PlayStation owners may be bothered by the fact the game doesn't offer a platinum trophy, but that hardly takes any merit away from this excellent title.

In the era of difficult and challenging games, it's sometimes great to experience something serenely beautiful as a counterbalance. Botany Manor grows flowers with a puzzle-like approach, and it does not offer anything very surprising, but it does everything it promises with admirable professionalism.

Botany Manor offers a unique experience for puzzle and exploration game fans. It combines creative puzzles with a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful cartoon-style graphics. The controls are simple, and the technical performance is excellent. However, some puzzles can be unnecessarily difficult, which may cause frustration. Despite that, the game remains an enjoyable experience for those looking for a thoughtful challenge in a peaceful and charming environment.

Botany Manor is an elegant puzzle game with a unique and fitting gameplay and setting. Balloon Studios presents an unusual gaming story, offering interesting and well-constructed puzzles, though not overly complex. Relaxed and relaxing, the game only falls short in longevity, which could have been slightly extended. Nonetheless, it remains a unique experience that will surely intrigue puzzle game enthusiasts.

Due to the length, cost, and lack of accessibility features, it comes a little short. Nonetheless, Botany Manor is worth the purchase for players interested in the puzzle genre and cozy games, although waiting for a discount may be recommended.

Botany Manor is definitely a must-play for anybody who enjoy a little brain scratching through puzzles but also for anybody who enjoys simplicity’s strength. Between the relaxed environments and the unique flowers and their odd growing conditions, there’s never really a dull moment to be had as you explore.

But leaving you wanting more and making you feel good about what you just played are two hallmarks of a very good game – which Botany Manor undeniably is. It’s a relaxing puzzler that doesn’t allow being “cozy” to get in the way of challenging you just enough. If you’re tired of puzzlers that all feel like they’re chasing after a game that almost perfected the genre more than a decade ago, this will be a very pleasant change of pace.

Botany Manor is one of truest cozy games I've run into, and not in all the most obvious ways you'd imagine. It promotes accessibility in every definition of the word, it showcases that puzzle difficulty does not define puzzle satisfaction, and it does it all while telling a powerfully defiant narrative. It at times leans into too cozy for its own good and its laidback vibes may not be for everyone, but if you're the type to be happy to watch a breeze wash over a field of flowers for a couple of hours, Botany Manor may just be the game for you.

While sometimes it asks too much of players' brains, Botany Manor features some of my favorite art direction ever and a wondrous world to explore.
