The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a treat for fans of the anime, giving us the pedigree experience CyberConnect2 has been delivering for years with all their games and refining what was already good in the first game, although it still has a rather lack of meaningful content

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 has the ability to keep fans busy for a long time only if SEGA is capable and willing to release more content for it over time. With them announcing the recent Infinity Castle Character Arc Pass along with a free update adding Muzan Kibutsuji as a playable VS Mode character, here’s hoping fans won’t have to hold their breath until the next film comes out.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 delivers a solid sequel: same core combat, expanded roster, and a fresh story mode combine for fan-pleasing action, even if it plays it safe.

It's one of the few ways to combine your love for Demon Slayer with video games, a title from Cyberconnect2 that basically took its Naruto games and gave them a Kimetsu no Yaiba skin. Either way, it's an interactive anime with a fun combat system.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2, despite not being perfect, offers an excellent narrative and gameplay experience. It features several story and gameplay elements that Demon Slayer fans will especially appreciate.

The Hinokami Chronicles 2 refines the arena fighter formula with smoother combat, new gear systems, and expanded modes. The story mode moves quickly through three major anime arcs, with flashy boss fights and a large cast of unlockable characters. Online play offers casual and ranked options, though the lack of rollback and crossplay still stings. It’s not a reinvention, but it’s a smarter, more complete sequel that delivers where it counts.

Though not without its faults, Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a visually stunning and faithful follow-up that builds on the original with more characters, polished storytelling, and just enough style to keep Demon Slayer fans hooked.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is more than just a follow-up. It's also an apology letter, a story about forgiveness, and a fan letter all in one. CyberConnect2 has paid attention to what people have said, and it shows. The basic idea hasn't changed much, but every part of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 has been made better, from exploration to fighting. It feels like a fully realized cartoon fighter.

Hinokami Chronicles 2 is more refinement than revolution. It still stumbles in the same places — pacing, story mode exploration and boss fight design.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 delivers a visually stunning and technically polished experience, clearly crafted with fans of the series in mind. From the animations to the soundtrack and cinematic sequences, every element is recreated with genuine passion and deep respect for the source material. The love for the original work is evident in every stylistic choice, making it almost impossible not to appreciate. That said, the exploratory segments fall a bit flat, interactions lack depth, and while the combat system is refined, its simplicity may cause it to lose its edge over time. Still, this is a game we wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who loves Demon Slayer and wants to relive its most iconic moments firsthand. And finally—dare we say it—this time there’s plenty of content and fanservice to satisfy the core audience. For its intended fans, this time, they got it right.

And even with the polished visuals, technical issues and gameplay limitations prevent the game from reaching a higher level.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 was really an enjoyable experience that anyone can get into. Its got easy understanding of how the button and combats work, so it’s beginner friendly. With the fact that we get to experience the game as if it’s the anime is wonderful in my eyes. Then again, it is CyberConnect2 we’re talking about here. A team who wholeheartedly respects the source material to make sure not to cut out the important and minor scenes in the show. Yet, with how much of the story we’ve already gone thru the game, I’m worried for the last game. Since the Infinity Castle arc will be short with the last bit even shorter, I wonder what they’ll pull out of their hats when the time comes. I give Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 the Thumb Culture Gold Award.

The sequel continues the story, focusing on the next three arcs from the anime, allowing diehard fans to relive their favourite moments. Anime fans often like to rewatch their favourite shows, and this game provides a great alternative, getting them involved in the action themselves.

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hinokami Chronicles 2" is a genuine and worthy successor to the first major video game adaptation of the anime and manga original.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 carves its mark among the elite of anime games, honing nearly every edge of its predecessor. With tighter, more fluid combat and a cinematic presentation that nearly rivals Ufotable’s legendary adaptation, this sequel feels like a true evolution from the very first swing. It's not flawless, but the sheer volume of content and pure fun it delivers more than makes up for its shortcomings. If the original was Hinoe rank, this one unquestionably earns its place among the Hashira.

Aside from showing off its fighters' special techniques in a fantastic way, this arena fighter doesn't do much to incorporate anything new into the genre other than integrating the later arcs of the anime's first season and its film. A greater number of playable characters will please fans of the series, but it's not necessarily what stands out amidst repetitive exploratory scenarios with little to offer.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 simply continued what the first one brought: a way to actively experience the anime's elaborate battles. While the experience is rich for Tanjiro and demon slayer fans, the cast could have brought more character variety and less "echo characters".

Demon Slayer: the Hinokami Chronicles 2 is the video game equivalent of a popcorn flick. We won’t see this fighter on the competitive scene, but for an anime-based game it can be pretty great.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is a good game that covers recent arcs of the Demon Slayer anime with action-packed elements that CyberConnect2 is known for. Although the combat is repetitive, there's a lot of replay value thanks to the included story modes and Training Paths mode. The Hinokami Chronicles 2 isn't a departure from anything CyberConnect2 has developed in the anime gaming space, but the game's beautiful visuals and great voice acting should keep a lot of fans happy.
