Despite some irritating shortcomings, this is still one of the most atmospheric game franchises out there. If you're looking for a scary game to match the autumn darkness, just dive in and play the hell out of this. If you haven't played the other two, prioritize the first one.

After playing for just under five hours, Little Nightmares 3 left me feeling a bit lost and disappointed. For some reason, the new direction taken by Supermassive just doesn’t resonate with me. The addition of co-op is a bold attempt to breathe new life into the series, but it doesn’t quite work out in the end. The game looks absolutely stunning, but when you play it alone with the AI, it loses a lot of its charm. Fans of the series will likely get swept up in the nightmare once again. Those who, like me, were hoping for an experience as powerful and intimate as in the first two games will probably be left wanting more.

Supermassive Games delivers a successful and impressive third installment that perfectly continues the series’ legacy. This entry features greater environmental variety, deeper darkness, and more imposing boss designs. The AI co-op element is well-executed and promises even more excitement in full co-op mode upon release. While easier than its predecessors, the game remains an immersive experience filled with detail and symbolism, clearly setting the stage for an even more epic future installment.

Little Nightmares returns with a third installment, developed by a different studio, one that succeeds in delivering the familiar strong foundations of this world, which include the strong sense of mystery and the high-quality visual and audio design. However, the game is held back by the addition of co-op play, which negatively impacts the single-player experience, as well as the poor utilization of the new gameplay elements.

It’s safe to say I didn’t connect with the game and have a positive experience with it, and I hope that if a fourth game is made, it will be safely back in the hands of Tarsier Studios.
If you’re hunting for something atmospheric to play this Halloween that won’t eat your entire weekend, Little Nightmares III is absolutely worth your time. It might not keep you up all night, but it’ll definitely make you hesitate before turning off the lights.

While I can’t say it’s bad, Little Nightmares III is not at all what I was looking for, and I am left wanting another proper entry to the series even more after finishing it.

Little Nightmares III is an incredibly immersive and engaging title that faithfully maintains the series' unique horror style, making it feel like a product of the original developers and showing Supermassive Games' competent and careful approach to the source material. However, the game suffers from major flaws, such as a superficial gameplay that makes the experience too easy and short, and an abundance of bugs and technical issues, including glitches and instability in co-op/AI performance.

Little Nightmares III plays smoothly and looks strong, but remains too safe. The atmosphere is good and the collaboration between Low and Alone works, although local co-op is noticeably absent. The world is nicely constructed, but offers little new. Technically everything is fine, although dark parts and small glitches are annoying. A solid sequel that remains true to the series, but never really surprises.

If you are looking for some fun/creepy vibes to cap off Spooky Season, Little Nightmares III is at least serviceable in this regard. If the technical issues have been resolved, so much the better, and it’ll be at least a decently fun shared experience with a friend or sibling or significant other, although even at $40 it’s tough to look you straight in the face and say you’ll feel that your money was well spent.
Familiar chills return in Little Nightmares III, yet lackluster design and missing couch co-op keep it from escaping the shadow of its predecessors.
Little Nightmares 3 manages to follow in the footsteps of an excellent second installment. Thanks to online cooperation, it perhaps does better. It's a real pleasure to explore the Spiral as a duo, relying on each other to solve puzzles, sharing fears, a bond that is formed through fear and curiosity to always learn about this gloomy and cruel world. Of course, we recommend you discover Little Nightmares 3, especially since the gameplay mechanics were designed for cooperation. Rest assured, in solo mode, the game doesn't abandon you since the AI is still intelligent and accompanies you in your exploration, and waits for your instructions without overdoing it either, for a fair balance. We can congratulate Supermassive Games who manages during the second half of the game to leave their mark on this delicious experience.
