Minecraft is truly a success on the PlayStation 4 that boasts accessible controls and a glorious interactive environment that will keep players attention for hours upon hours. Given that the game is available for around $25AUD, you definitely get value for money as you explore, build and conquer in the ultimate console version of Minecraft.

Minecraft is still, without a doubt, one of the best games available on the Xbox One, even after the ridiculous number of hours most will have invested into it on every platform under the sun. It contains an unbelievable amount of content and it's only going to get better over time as more features are added. The simplicity of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition's gameplay constantly brings players back for more, and inviting a bunch of friends into the game at any time to help on a creation never gets old as the only limit is the imagination.

Ultimately, the Switch Edition provides players with the most complete and best portable version of this addictive and popular game. The new content alone isn't worth the asking price, but if you want to get your 'craft on while on the move, consider the Switch Edition.

Solid visuals and framerate. Some drawbacks hold it back overall, such as smaller worlds, but this is easily the best handheld version of Minecraft. Splitscreen on the go is really amazing, and a lot of fun.

That makes the conclusion somewhat foregone, but here it is: For fans of Minecraft, this absolutely seems like the version you've been waiting for if you wanted to get as close to a full-fledged experience as you could realistically want on a handheld device. For people who aren't among the already-converted, it is still the same game it has always been, and it has its merits, but aside from portability there's nothing more compelling about this version than there has ever been. It's been well-established there's a ton of game to be had here if you enjoy it, the Switch is just making it more easily accessible than it has ever been.

All told, this is yet another excellent port of Minecraft, nothing more and nothing less. With that being said, we would strongly recommend that you pick up this version, as the versatile setup of the Switch allows this to be the most easily accessible and playable Minecraft to date. That convenience factor is the only real notable difference, however, so it’s up to you whether that justifies paying for another version of Minecraft. If you want to play the best portable version of the game, however, look no further.

Minecraft Switch Edition isn't quite the best at any one thing, but it fills its niche with style. It stands below its PS4 and Xbox One counterparts in the size of the world it can build, but makes up for that by being a pitch-perfect portable experience. The physical controls and four-player splitscreen put it ahead of the full-featured Pocket Edition. It's everything the Vita version wanted to be, becoming the best portable version of Minecraft yet.

It looks good, plays well and hits all the classic Minecraft buttons, but with the bonus that your Minecraft addiction is a little easier to fit in with normal life. Throw in some of the best themed Minecraft content around and you have a must-have for Switch gamers, albeit not the absolutely best version of the game.

Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition is a worthy addition to any Switch owner’s library, young or old, core gamer or casual. It remains one of the most accessible games in recent memory and it’s just as good as you likely remember it if you took a long break from the game. For $2o dollars, Minecraft on Nintendo Switch should not be missed.

Minecraft is still the same great game, and it feels right at home on the Switch. It feels awesome to take the game on the go with such tight controls and accessibility, the online functionality is excellent, and the game is still a ton of fun to play with friends.

‎Despite the odd negative aspect, Minecraft: Switch Edition contains all the elements that make the popular building game so great. If you like to take blocks everywhere, this is undoubtedly the best option.‎

Releasing Minecraft on the Switch was a real no brainer for Microsoft, the game has found a natural home and is worth yet another purchase.

Besides Some technical limitations, Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition offers the same experience as other modern home console versions do, with the added benefit of being both playable anywhere, anytime. This is the key deciding factor that should determine whether one should pick this version or not over others, as this lets you play and build the same world, both at home and on the go, without any major compromises. The Wii U offered that comfort already with off-TV mode whenever someone else would want to use the TV for something else, but the Switch does way with the limitations of being away from the system hooked to the TV since the system here is completely portable, and this the best version possible outside of the realm of PC.
