Darius Burst: Chronicle Saviours Reviews
Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours is a successful cinematic rebirth of a classic, though it can be an acquired taste.
If it's high-quality arcade-style action you want, Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours has you covered.
DariusBurst Chronicle Saviors is a massive shooter with seemingly endless gameplay in its multiple sections.
So if you like your shoot-em-ups to unleash hell at an insane pace but all the while expect you to keep your head, then Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours is definitely the game for you.
A wonderfully rich celebration of one of gaming's more forgotten shooter franchises, although it's unfortunate its pleasures come at such a high price.
Unless you're a die-hard space shooter fan who doesn't mind repetitive filler content, it is hard to recommend Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours at the current price point, even if it does have solid gameplay. I'd suggest waiting till it goes on sale for somewhere around $20 or less, as that is a far more reasonable cost.
Fun Tidbit – The music in this game is quite odd. I can swear I heard someone singing about sushi at one point.
Outside of a few baffling design decisions, DariusBurst Chronicle Saviours is a jam-packed package that should be on the radar of any self-respecting shoot 'em up fan.
The main thing that holds Dariusburst Chronicles Saviors back from utter greatness is its price of admission. $60 for a "shmup" may be a bit much for some gamers to ask. However, those who do invest will find Chronicles to their liking, with the number of modes available, the local co-op support, the awesome presentation and the devotion to the series' history. Fans of the genre will definitely get something for their buck.
Shows traditional challenges found common in retro shoot 'em up side scrolling games are still a blast to play.
Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours is jam-packed with brilliant shoot-em-up action. It's a game that can last you a long time, and hardly ever loses its touch over that period. Pricey compared to similar games, but what you get for that is absolutely stellar.
The controls feel beautifully responsive as a you weave in and out of laser beams within inches of your life
There's a lot to enjoy in Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours. Fast paced gameplay, interesting reflex based mechanics, a catchy soundtrack, and plenty of modes to run through, but it never feels much more than a sit down and play game. For its base price, Dariusburst should be stirring up hours upon hours of gameplay, not inspiring quick burst sessions. On top of that, it's very easy to burn out on the experience. It's technically great and playing through the more difficult levels are a treat, but once they're done, they're done. It's certainly good fun, but wait until a sale or a price drop.
dozens of well-spent hours to genre fans and is enough to cover up for the gratuitous
Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours is a fantastic return of a long-lost series.
DariusBurst Chronicles Saviours perfectly replicates an original arcade experience, and delivers a ton of old-school-feeling shoot 'em up content in the process. However, despite looking and sounding excellent, the action doesn't vary much, meaning that it will likely only appeal to hardcore fans of the series.
