Mixing together adventure, stealth and a gripping narrative makes Tides of Tomorrow a very intriguing prospect indeed. It's just a shame that its novel 'online story-link' mechanic isn't as enjoyable as it should be, leaving you feeling like you're existing in someone else's shadow rather than carving out your own path through this unique world.

A strong narrative-driven experience that stands out for its meaningful choices and emotional storytelling. Tides of Tomorrow delivers a thoughtful, often impactful journey with clear real-world parallels, making it more ambitious than many similar titles on the market. Despite a few minor flaws, it remains a highly recommended experience for fans of choice-driven adventures.

Innovation is at the heart of Tides of Tomorrow, a groundbreaking cooperative adventure unlike anything we’ve seen before, built on connecting players’ experiences in an indirect and unprecedented way. Unique experiences like this are what fuel our excitement and encourage us to explore bold, unconventional journeys.

While Tides of Tomorrow hits a few rough patches with its stiff controls and some questionable music selection and voice work, the weight of its decisions left a lasting impact on me long after the credits rolled. Its Story-Link system turns the narrative into a fascinating social experiment, forcing you to confront the legacy you leave for other players.

Tides of Tomorrow is the kind of gaming experience that leaves you not only with memories of a single story, but also with the strange feeling that you were part of something bigger. The moment you realize that you’re not just a player, but also part of someone else’s past, the whole concept of shared responsibility begins to create a constant sense of pressure. Every decision becomes an echo for someone else, and it’s entirely up to you whether you choose the path of cooperation or individualism. The game doesn’t force you to be a hero, but it asks what you want to leave behind once the waters calm and the traces begin to fade.

The results are visible and there is no doubt that there are some truly evocative sequences , as well as some particularly valid glimpses on an artistic level, but at the same time we notice small uncertainties in the frame rate on PS5, some excessive reconstruction artefacts, the small size of the visitable environments and, above all, often wooden animations, which highlight the limits of the production.

Tides of Tomorrow has interesting ideas, with the choice and player based decision making creating unique situations. At the same time, it can feel like someone else's story, with middling gameplay design.

Players who enjoy choice-driven stories, light systemic play, and the feeling of brushing past other travelers will find a memorable voyage. I am less excited to immediately replay than I am to see how this studio evolves the idea, which is its own form of endorsement.

Then come the harder questions. Will you be an ally or a hindrance? Do you even care that people are dying around you? And, most importantly, if you can stop it, will you even try to? Once again, DigiXArts has left me with an experience that will haunt me. Something that feels so disturbingly plausible despite the distance between them and us. This is the power of narrative storytelling in gaming.

Tides Of Tomorrow is a brilliant, genuinely fresh experience that breathes completely new life into narrative adventure games. The asynchronous multiplayer loop is incredibly clever, creating a constant internal struggle over whether to fix or ruin the worlds of the players before you.

Tides of Tomorrow is a fairly unique and innovative adventure title, with a few flaws here and there that limit its maximum potential, but with enough ideas and personality to deserve attention.

Tides of Tomorrow succeeds as a bold experiment in narrative gaming that pushes the medium forward in meaningful ways. While it has rough edges and gameplay elements that don't always land, the Story-Link system represents genuine innovation that creates experiences impossible in any other medium. This is the kind of game that matters beyond its immediate quality—it's exploring new possibilities for how we connect through interactive storytelling. Digixart has created something that feels like the future of narrative gaming, even if it's not quite perfected yet. For players willing to engage with its experimental nature and environmental themes, Tides of Tomorrow offers a uniquely meaningful gaming experience. You're not just playing a story—you're contributing to a living narrative that will continue long after your playthrough ends. In a gaming landscape often focused on individual achievement, Tides of Tomorrow dares to suggest that our choices matter most when they affect others. That's a message worth supporting, wrapped in a game worth playing.

In the end, Tides of Tomorrow is a beautiful kaleidoscope of possibilities, fractured by a clichéd script and some reductive gameplay sequences. The environmental design is vivid and evocative, revealing the majesty of the natural world prevailing over plastic waste. The story seed system was a genuinely interesting narrative experiment, and the resource management elements led to some superb tension in both the story and the multiplayer interactions. I hope this studio keeps experimenting with the unique ways video games can tell a story, because the ideas coming out of the Digixart lab are what make the future of the industry so exciting.

Tides of Tomorrow offers a unique asynchronous multiplayer experience in an intriguing world with gorgeous visuals. Some choices lack impact, and the Tides of Time mechanic is over-used a little. But this is a journey with taking!

Tides of Tomorrow has proven to be an undeniably enjoyable experience, and we certainly can’t say otherwise, with a deep and thought-provoking story supported by truly well-written characters that keep the emotional engagement high from start to finish. At the same time, however, it’s hard to ignore how the game never quite manages to go the extra mile: the ambitious mechanic tied to following other players’ choices is, in fact, underutilized and, at various points, even narratively inconsistent, while the gameplay remains extremely simple and far from the revolution promised at its announcement. It remains, however, a title we would recommend to fans of the studio’s productions and to those seeking an interactive and engaging narrative experience that is unpretentious.
