The Blood of Dawnwalker Reviews
While the initial experience might feel a bit rough around the edges, and mechanics like gear score and open-world design even give off a slightly cookie-cutter vibe, Blood of the Dawnwalker is an excellent title that keeps revealing its brilliance once you fully sink your teeth into it. It does an outstanding job with its choice-driven content and delivers quite a few genuinely unexpected moments.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is undoubtedly my biggest surprise of the year. Not only did I not have high expectations for this game, but I actually wrote it off as a failure from the start. Despite all that, I decided to give it a chance, and I absolutely don’t regret it. I managed to finish the whole thing in exactly 40 hours, and I already know that I’ll be returning to the Vale Sangora many times in the future. It’s a great RPG that pulls you in like quicksand. Its unique approach to gameplay, the constantly stressful time-pass mechanics, a superbly written story, phenomenal characters, stunning audiovisuals, and a strongly felt Slavic atmosphere are among its greatest strengths. It’s all the more disappointing that the game doesn’t quite live up to the same high standard when it comes to combat, controls, and camera work.

The Blood of Dawnwalker still has a few rough edges, but its blend of storytelling, time management and vampirism gives it a distinct identity.

The Blood of Dawnwalker offers a genuinely interesting approach to both time and choice that makes it difficult to put down.
“The Blood of Dawnwalker” is a game that does everything well. Whatever it mixes together, it does so with flair.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is not perfect, but it's a really great RPG you have to play. When the credits roll, it doesn't demand a replay, you desire it. Bugs and technical issues on PC really hold it back from being more, but it's still one of my favorites of the year. It's well-written, with an interesting world, and fun systems to sink your teeth into. Rebel Wolves has made a memorable and earnest game, and I'm genuinely excited for the sequels that are already planned. Simply put, The Blood of Dawnwalker has stakes, and unlike vampires, doesn't suck.
Drawing inspiration from various video games while also following its own philosophy, *The Blood of Dawnwalker* stands out as one of the most interesting open-world RPGs of recent years. It isn't perfect, but it offers an adventure unlike few others in the genre.

In some ways, The Blood of Dawnwalker feels a bit old-school in its design, but once we settled into its rhythm, we found a satisfying, if slightly clunky RPG that is well worth a recommendation from us. The time limit means we can’t be the all-in-one hero, and there’s a story here that…ahem..sank it’s fangs into us early on.
When it comes to vampires, gaming has been a little short on options lately. So, if you’ve been looking for a great vampire-themed RPG since the days of the underrated Vampyr, you absolutely shouldn’t miss The Blood of Dawnwalker. Hell, you shouldn’t miss it if you love RPGs in general, because it’s an engaging, well-written game packed with compelling stories and memorable characters.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a game the writer was overlooking, but one that, once experienced, isn't easily forgotten. The world created by Rebel Wolves is incredible, and it manages to fight on equal terms with masterpieces like The Witcher 3. The narrative is certainly one of the production's strengths, even though it's tied to the time mechanic, which will need significant refinement for the next chapter.

CD Projekt Red alumni create a familiar dark fantasy adventure, but one with bold and provocative ideas of its own, that's mostly, enormously successful.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is an impressive, bloody cocktail of interesting ideas and well-written characters, making it one of this year’s best open-world RPGs.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is a resolutely miserable horror RPG with some great ideas of its own, though it doesn't always have the courage to follow them through.
For a game I wasn’t entirely sure about at first, I’m happy to be walking away with a new addition to my lineup of favorite RPGs, and one that I’d love to see influence the genre.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is an incredibly ambitious, deeply interesting first game from Rebel Wolves. Not every good idea lands and not every envelope is pushed as far as it could be, but the potential of the game is vast, and there’s a huge amount to lean into and love.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is a dark, brilliantly written vampire RPG with a superb prologue, a memorable cast and inventive powers. It's dragged down at times by repetitive combat, a rough performance, and an insipid lead. A flawed, fascinating debut with cult classic written all over it - one that needs some post-launch patches, but kept me hooked regardless. $69 at Walmart $69 at Walmart $69.99 at Amazon Check Best Buy
Even so, I think the project's scope should have been much better measured; with a smaller scale, the team could surely have delivered a more solid experience , because even with all this, there are very enjoyable aspects. I think The Blood of Dawnwalker always dreamed of being immortal, but vampirism inevitably comes at a price.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is an ambitious project that occasionally wears both the best and worst aspects of its inspirations on its sleeve. Where it shines is in allowing players to make their own choices and learn from their own mistakes. It’s incredible fun to play in a world where the clock is ever-ticking, and the results of our actions and words have real consequences not just for us but for those around us.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is excellent, if not quite successful in everything it tries. It's fun to teleport around in a cloud of smoke and bats or walk on ceilings, but the story is also fantastic. It's probably even darker and grimmer than you're expecting, and it gripped me throughout and was complimented by equally fascinating side quest stories that I had to choose between. If you like RPGs, vampires, or great stories, you won't want to miss The Blood of Dawnwalker.
The Blood of Dawnwalker has strong ideas and a compelling story, but repetitive design, uneven systems, and constant jank hold it back.
