LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Reviews
Filled with plenty of sly nods and knowing winks, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is not only one of the funniest LEGO games we've played, it's also one of the best. If you love Star Wars and you love LEGO, you owe it to yourself to snaffle this up like a hungry rathtar.
What game adds to the LEGO video game formula is a few drops of proper modern gameplay mechanics.
A fun adventure in the Star Wars universe, badly let down by too many game-breaking glitches.
However, like the film did last holiday season, few series can capture that imagination as that of Star Wars, and its LEGO rendition offers that and more with plenty to enjoy from its charming take on the latest film. Like the endless possibilities that its toys have offered, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens captures the heart and humor of Star Wars in a world where we can build Rey's story to (almost our own liking), and shows the Force is indeed still strong with the series.
Han Solo steals the show again, even in tiny minifig form.
Despite its age, TT Games continues to breathe new life into the LEGO franchise each year and brings both new and old fans in for some block-tastic action.
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens isn't simply another movie licensed turned into a LEGO game. It's a beautiful opus for the LEGO series that shows that Tt Games isn't resting on its laurels enjoying the money rolling in. The developers have put a lot of love into the presentation, gameplay depth and overall experience to bring a top-tier game that should entertain both adults and kids. Kudos to them for keeping the series fresh.
Despite some of its problems, "Lego The force Awakens" is still a step in the right direction for the series, and is enjoyable for any "Star Wars" fan. It's a great way to revisit the excellent movie, or introduce a younger audience to the iconic series.
The combination of everyone's favorite childhood toy and the movie franchise that set the standard in movie production to this day create an enjoyable experience for gamers of all ages. Bringing back familiar aspects of previous LEGO games, and adding new gameplay like dogfights and blaster battles helps 'LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens' break franchise fatigue. Traveller's Tales has delivered their best game to date.
'The Force Awakens' is one of the better 'Lego Star Wars' in recent memory. TT is paying attention to players and throwing in more variety. Even if we've seen all of this variety before, it's very welcome in the 'Lego' world. If you haven't been a huge fan of the series to date, this might not change your mind, but the returning fans will find a lot of 'Star Wars' to do.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens gives you everything you expect from a LEGO game, for better or worse.
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is quite possibly the best LEGO game yet – but it still has a smattering of old issues. Its compelling story cinematics, laugh out loud humour and perfectly balanced mix of conundrums and combat make it an absolute blast to play. However, it still suffers from the occasional AI hiccup and could do with the character abilities being refreshed.
This is the best Lego game since Lego Marvel Super Heroes and whether you are a Lego fan or Star Wars fan, or both; there is a lot to like and have fun with in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Farce is strong in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, as TT Games doesn't deviate too far away from their usual formula of puzzles and slapstick.
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens dutifully follows the pattern set by prior Lego tie-ins to a fault, but it's nonetheless a sound title your kids will love.
Overall, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens delivers more value for your money than any of the previous installments to date. The set pieces are bigger than ever and there's far more varied content to keep you occupied rather than the repetitive puzzle solving formula. Easily my favourite of these 'modern' LEGO games.
With a series edging closer to becoming stale with each release, new gameplay elements help both evolve and freshen up the series and above all else, this game is so much fun!
One area that is absolutely flawless is the sound design. From the opening Star Wars theme… to the voice acting and more, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens sounds so authentically Star Wars that it was easy to forget that I was playing a goofy game with LEGO
As authentic as it gets, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is 100% fan service. With new voice work from the cast, and the signature TT Games style, the only thing we can hope for in their next outing is a cleaner execution, and some new features to play with. The tried-and-true formula still works, but it's time to shake things up.
In the end, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is not a perfect game, but it is a very, very good one that does something the series has needed to do for quite some time: innovate
