Toukiden 2 works very well as a sequel with the new open world that offer us a better approximation to the missions and the demon hand that gives us more options on its combat system. Although the game is not perfect, could be a good choice for the hunting action RPG lovers.

Toukiden 2 steps up big time from its predecessor, featuring a new open world with a fleshed out campaign while throwing in a fun Demon Hand mechanic that makes breaking demon body parts a bonafide hoot. It's still not enough to dethrone Monster Hunter from the top of its perch for this fan of Capcom's premier hunting franchise. It's the closest any Monster Hunter clone has gotten, though, making it my second-favorite series in the hunting genre.
It's the console monster hunting game you've been wanting, but with a far bigger emphasis on story and exploration.
As a third person monster hunter with JRPG elements, Toukiden 2 gets a lot right. It has some important limitations that you should consider before diving in, but if you enjoy the franchise or the monster-hunter genre, keeps this one in mind.
There is no need to persuade fans of the original game and other Monster Hunter-like games. The rest of you could be pleasantly suprised how good and addictive Toukiden 2 is even if the game does not impress with graphics and the controls are not the best.

Toukiden 2 make for a fine addition to the Action/JRPG genre, bringing a lot of new ideas to the table but not without its minor frustrations.
Toukiden 2 will likely be swept away in the hubbub of larger AAA releases. But if you’re a fan of this style of Action RPG, do yourself a favor and check it out. There’s even a decent online co-op for up to four people where you can rove the world and hunt Oni together. It’s a fun and solid Action RPG, and the best Monster Hunter clone we’ve seen yet.
Toukiden 2 ends up offering something that's lacking in all departments.There's too much fluff between the good stuff, but it still offers a somewhat exhilarating experience in short bursts. If you're looking for a combat-heavy co-op experience on PC, it's not a bad choice at all - but if you're coming from similar games, you'll likely be left feeling generally underwhelmed.
A budget action-RPG that is aggressively mediocre in almost every way
Toukiden 2 takes a core from Kiwami and makes some subtle changes that develop the whole thing from Monster Hunter clone to something unique in the genre. The new, faster combat is a ton of fun and while cramped controls and limited presentation are there and a bother, they aren’t the end of the world and don’t frequently get in the way of the fun.

If you liked the previous titles, you'll find much mor of the same here and a couple of new twists that add to the gameplay.

Toukiden 2 is a packed title that sacrifices complex depth, but in exchange continues to offer people a faster, more easy to understand hunting game for anyone who does not gel with the methodical style of Monster Hunter, while also bringing a fun single player story.
There is plenty here to entertain the casual players to the hardcore fans of monster hunting series. With a well built world and story driven characters you'll always be wanting to fight just one more monster, on your own or with a party of friends.
Having the game on PS4 and including multiple ways to play with friends is a huge bonus that makes the game worth picking up for those who want some memorable nights at the couch.
Toukiden 2 has a rough start, but manages to pick it up and be a solid member of the monster hunting community. It will manage to hook you in, with its engaging world and simple crafting system. Unfortunately, it might lose you to the weird and often dense AI, and the unimpressive story.
