Like all Lego Games we have not a challenging experience on Lego City Undercover, but undoubtedly this is one of the most complete games on the franchise with an original story based on the famous toys. With all the classic humor of Lego Games, a varied city to explore and the new split-screen coop game, Lego City Undercover is still fun four years later than its original release.

LEGO City Undercover for Nintendo Switch is an adaptation that succeeds in its main goals. This is an open world LEGO game that remains fun to play, with a very large amount of content to explore and even though it doesn't represent a revolutionary development compared to its original version, it's certainly a game that should be played by all those who haven't had a chance to do it before.

Successfully making the leap from the Wii U four years since its original release, LEGO City Undercover is still a fantastically fun and exciting open-world adventure.

LEGO City Undercover is an original, hilarious, and action-packed adventure that provides ample freedom and endless activities. It is apparent, however, that despite its revolutionary features back in 2013, the remastered version shows that many elements need retooling to be on par with current LEGO video games.

Lego City Undercover is a worthy addition to the Lego franchise, especially now that is has a multiplayer option. Homewever, technical issues and stale gameplay hold it back from glory.

‘LEGO City Undercover’ uses LEGO's classic aesthetic to provide an open environment, entertaining characters, and gameplay conducive to both building and problem-solving. This energetic game easily has the potential to appeal to players of all ages.

Lego City Undercover is a five year old game that somehow is more innovative than recent Lego games. A reworked combat system and interesting open world help make a lot of fun, as does a hilarious story. It just needed some trimming of the filler and cutting down on the load times.

With improved performance and the addition of co-op gameplay functionality, Lego City Undercover is elevated to the status of one of the better, more fun modern day Lego titles.

From the hundreds of trinkets to the passersby's stupid comments, LEGO City has me smitten. I've finished the story and gathered a handful of collectibles, but LEGO City Undercover will stay in my Switch for a good long while.

LEGO City Undercover is a fantastic addition to any LEGO fans' Steam library. It's a ball of endearing charm and comes with familiar gameplay that ought to keep people busy well past its monetary value. Co-operative play is a great addition to the game and it really helps to breathe life into the adventure, maybe even for those who played it through on Wii U already several years back. It's a thoroughly entertaining experience that is wholly recommendable.

Despite not having any licence, this Lego game has many funny references to well known movies. The gameplay is more on the casual side and it will keep you occupied for about 20 hours. Technical aspects of the game could be better, but they don't ruin the game by any means.

Hilarious and entertaining, LEGO City Undercover will forever remain among my favourite LEGO games. Chase McCain’s return to the scene of the crime is a welcome one, but, as an inadvertent downside, it also shows how far the LEGO series has progressed in the last few years. Its crime-ridden world is still an absolute blast to be a part of, however, and I hope that we’ll have another chance to chase down criminals in the future.

LEGO City Undercover is a solid LEGO game that does something unique and different for a series that typically just uses existing franchises for stories.

Overall, LEGO CITY Undercover manages to create a charming and humorous experience for all the family, with a definite old school cop show vibe in style, writing and soundtrack. It provides childish jokes and slapstick style to bring on the laughter, as well as cheeky parodies which are easily recognisable.

Despite the sense of familiarity returning gamers will feel, LEGO City Undercover is still a lot of fun to play. LEGO City is a joy to explore, the story and characters are great, whilst the gameplay still remains a lot of fun. You can always count on LEGO video games to offer a lot of fun and it’s a trend that has continued here; just don’t expect to see anything fresh outside of the open world experience.

LEGO City Undercover is an action-packed platformer filled to the brim with secrets and charm. Whilst the series as a whole has evolved - negating how impressive this was back in 2013 - you'll still find plenty to enjoy on its own merit.
