Wipeout: Omega Collection Reviews
The Omega Collection, for the most part, focuses on what the series had to offer in the generation prior to the PlayStation 4, and shows us just how much these titles hold up on new hardware.
The WipEout series is a shining example of how to keep racing exciting with many variations and an awesome visual style.
All told, this is a content-rich collection, one that is especially worth investing in for WipEout newcomers. Longtime players might feel fatigue from tracks that have seen repeated use over the years, but even then, I'd argue the audio and visual polish present in Omega Collection makes it worthwhile -- with or without a 4K-ready setup. The dream of the '90s is alive at PlayStation.
It's brilliant to see WipEout back. It looked great back in the day, but thanks to the power of PS4 it now looks incredible, and captures with style the adrenaline-pumping action that we so fondly remember.
WipeOut at its best has always been gorgeous on the eyes and smooth on the ears with a soundtrack that matches the beat of the game. WipEout: Omega Collection is that sensation wrapped up in striking 4K visuals that helps define it as the definitive WipEout experience.
Successful remaster collection with timeless gameplay and a great extent.

WipEout Omega Collection won't hold your hand
Wipeout Omega Collection takes three forgotten titles to the attention of the vast PS4 public, adding 4K resolution, HDR support and steady 60 fps. Maybe this won't be enough for players that have already played Pure, Pulse and 2048, but all the rest of the racing game lovers out there should consider buying it.

Shiny and in 4K glory, this is the best WipEout has ever looked.
WipEout Omega Collection is a fantastic update that runs as smooth as a supersonic hovercraft.
The first WipEout title launched back in September of 1995 on the PlayStation One, and with the launches of all the PlayStation Consoles and handhelds over the years a new version of WipEout has made it to every single one of them. There is now a total of 10 WipEout games with some being more memorable than others. WipEout Omega Collection is the culmination of all the previous iterations and we are having an absolute blast with it. if you own a PS4 you need this on your hard drive ASAP.
Once you taste that first sweet gold medal, it's hard to put down the controller knowing the next one is right around the corner.
A very welcome return for Sony's classic future racer, and while it doesn't represent anything new it does show the WipEout series at its very best.
Wipeout is back with all it's extreme speed and catchy electronic tunes. The Omega Collection is a great reminder of what makes this franchise so good... But also leaves us desperately wanting a proper new game.

WipEout Omega Collections is full of tracks, veichles and style. But there's nothing really new and the game isn't as fresh as it used to be.

A nice remake that only makes what's strictly necessary to accomplish its goals. A missed opportunity and a great game eitherways.

Wipeout Omega Collection is a requiem for the cult classic of PlayStation, familiar product, processed under the modern TVs and technology. The collection is meant to entertain bored fans of racing genre, and may be very relevant before big holiday blockbusters hit the market. And if you are an old fan of the series, you need to buy this game anyway.

You can regret that this is not a new WipEout for PS4. But you can't blame this compilation fr being what it is. Because it is indeed a great way to meet again with the series and its beautiful and intoxicating races, with a lot of challenges and fun offered offline and online.

WipEout Omega Collection is a remaster that any fan is going to go loopy over, and there's a high possibility it'll find a new audience, too. A very slick and well-designed update.
Wipeout persists as a utopian phantom consumed with aesthetic elegance and driven to exhibit a vivid sensation of speed. The nature of this package's identity—Wipeout Omega Collection is three different but very similar experiences—may nudge against a wall of homogeneity, but it's easy to overlook when you're going too fast to focus on anything in the periphery.
