If you’ve been long-exhausted by the series’ recent obsession with exo-suits, wall-running and space battles, Call of Duty: WWII is a mostly refreshing tonic that lovingly recalls the more earnest tone of the earlier CoD games.

Call of Duty: WWII is a refreshing experience from the modern and futuristic settings of recently past Call of Duty games. It tells a more personal tale of how soldiers during World War 2 attempted to come to grips with the horrors they endured and found the fortitude to walk each step.

Call of Duty: WW2 is one of the best recent entries of the phenomenal franchise with a varied campaign, addictive multiplayer especially "War" and an enjoyable zombies mode, it's one of the best shooters of the generation. It's unfortunate that the low amount of maps for multiplayer alongside a lack of depth in story mode holds it back to be up there alongside the best in the series

A new direction for the series that manages to satisfy long-term fans, while also being a great package combining single-player campaign, zombie mode and multiplayer. This one feels closer to a remix than a new game, but undoubtly is a return to form.

Call Of Duty finally returns to Earth (and the series roots) with a satisfying tale of brotherhood and courage while invading Nazi Europe.

I'm having a hard time with this review, because when the game works, I had a great time. However, with all the current issues, it is tough to advise anyone to pick up this title. If you are a Call Of Duty fan, you might be able to look over these problems, but the average player will want to wait for updates.

It's not a bad game by any stretch, but as a whole it's an underwhelming imitation of past glory.

Call of Duty: WWII is the game that the fans of the franchise have been awaiting for a long time. With a perfect graphical presentation, excellent sound effects, a well developed story, a new multiplayer mode and the zombie mode full of action, Call of Duty: WWII arrives to become one of the best FPS of the year.

It's a waste of a hard-hitting and emotional source material. Go for it f you are looking for a Call of Duty multiplayer experience but stay away from it if it is the story that you crave.

Sledgehammer Games went back to the roots, but the best part of the game is the Zombie mode, which really has nothing to do with WWII. A step back from Infinite Warfare, but still a fine game.

Call of Duty: WWII was announced as a return to roots for this franchise and it has reached its goal in achieving that. world war 2 setting has led to a great story campaign and the game has a great zombie mode too. Call of Duty: WWII's main problem is its shallow multiplayer and it's the only thing that prevents the overall experience form being perfect.

Call of Duty: WWII my be a step on the right track for the series in terms of listening to The Fan Base and moving away from future wars Bringing back old setting, but sadly Activision did not take enough risks to change Game Basics and has only presented the same key elements of the series but in WWII Setting, however the Multiplayer remains fast and enjoyable especially War Mode, and zombie mode is a fun way to play with friends as well as a cinematic story that monitors many of World war 2 events, but don't expect to find totally different game it's Same Call of Duty after all.

An insipid and muddled campaign holds back Call of Duty: WWII just as it disembarks. And the plain, inconsistent, and restrictive multiplayer does not quite reach the heights of its predecessors. Its best features come from the new online War mode and the reliable Nazi Zombies, both of which lack the tidal force to wash all the blood from the sand.

The shooting is solid, the graphics are fine, the sound design and musical score are acceptable if uninspired, and yet the game is significantly less than the sum of its parts. At its best it is proof that Activision's stable of developers has run out of ideas, returning to World War II for no other reason than they didn't know where else to go.

While it's not a perfect game, Call Of Duty: WWII knows the expectations it has to meet and hits almost every single one of them fairly well.
