All in all, Monster Hunter: World is a fantastic journey into, well, the world of Monster Hunter. It hits all the checkboxes, provides a huge amount of replay value and it's a huge win for the franchise. And since I started on this review, Capcom has gone on record stating that the game has sold over 6 million copies. Which hopefully means that the return of Monster Hunter on consoles (and eventually PC) would be the last. Gone would be the days where the title was limited to mobile platforms, outside of the Japan-exclusive Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game. The game is a great jumping in point for newcomers to the series, while veterans will be right at home.
Monster Hunter: World takes the formula of what's worked with the series and turns it up to 11. Every monster encounter and every armor set to be had feels so uniquely crafted that it's hard not to marvel at the scale and complexity of the game. While new players such as myself may feel a little daunted at first glance, the game does an excellent job of easing you in before throwing everything at you. If there was ever a game in the series to feel like a jumping-in point, it would be Monster Hunter: World.
Behold the best installment un this superb Japanese series and one of the best games of its kind available on current gen. Monster Hunter World succeeds in taking a chance to interest western gamers – this is a very good game with an extremely unique experience of hunting giant monsters.

One thing that makes Monster Hunter: World so hard to review is there is simply so much here to see and explore. With a variety of different weapons, plenty of monsters, some free upcoming content and countless secrets, there is little to dislike. Sure, the online system could be a bit better and the story sucks, but it is easily forgotten once you get a team together to hunt. So, if you're looking for a deep, thoughtful and beautiful game, you can't go wrong with Monster Hunter: World. However, if you're not interested in learning the mechanics or get frustrated very easily, this one isn't for you.
For the first entry into a new generation, Monster Hunter: World wastes no efforts in making itself a sprawling experience with enough content to keep people going even without the planned free DLC quests.
Monster Hunter World is a demanding game, but if you're willing to invest in it, you'll be rewarded with one of the most rewarding, addictive, and nuanced experiences of all time.
Monster Hunter World is a fantastic action RPG that players can enjoy for hundreds, if not thousands of hours due to its sheer amount of quality content to experience.
It's not an easy game and takes dedication to master its many intricacies and mechanics, but even so, Monster Hunter World is the best entry point for newcomers, and veterans will no doubt appreciate the slew of quality of life improvements. It's a Monster Hunter game at heart.
Monster Hunter World is, bar none, the best Monster Hunter game to date. Not only did it succeed in delivering a solid hunting game to the new generation of consoles (and the PC at a much later date), it also implemented a series of much-needed quality of life changes that makes the overall experience better for old and new players alike.

In short, Monster Hunter World is a fantastic addition to the series. It’s never been on this many platforms before, so for many, this will be their first Monster Hunter game — and happily, Capcom has built a world that is sure to keep players coming back time and time again.
All in all, Capcom has crafted a large, sprawling RPG that's addictive and entertaining without watering down any sense of depth.
Longtime fans might lament some changes but the series' soul remains intact. If you have ever been curious about Monster Hunter, or bounced off a previous iteration, there's never been a better time to pick up a sword.
If you ask us, Monster Hunter World is definitely a game to play. Whether you are a stranger to the series or not.

Monster Hunter: World is an amazing experience to have. I enjoyed my time exploring everything in the game. The world is beautiful, the monsters have unique designs and fighting style, and finally the depth the game offers with its weapons, each weapon plays differently and require some time to master. The game is enjoyable if you play it alone, but it is way more fun with friends. Sadly, there was some connection issues with the servers prevented me from playing online at sometimes, and even if the servers worked just fine, the complicated steps to start an online game might impact the experience for some players.

The essential Monster Hunter experience that you can't afford to miss. Despite the clumsy nature of the combat, the game is well tailored for newcomers and veterans of the series alike.
With a vast new world full of life, Monster Hunter: World evolves its formula to appeal new players, but for true veterans the effect is a dream come true. Critical adjustments to the formula makes this entry easy to get into it which results in the perfect place to spend a long session of hunting with friends.

When a long fight with a monster culminates in other monster's invasion, and when you jump on the back of your prey after it starts to run away, it's hard not to be amazed by this game. A fantastic job by Capcom and a great start for 2018's AAA games.
