As a newcomer to Shadow of the Colossus, I probably take these improved graphics for granted. But a story is something that doesn't rely on pixel count - and Shadow of the Colossus has one of the best I've experienced in a game.
Shadow of the Colossus was a masterpiece when it released in 2005, with only few technical flaws truly hurting the game, and this remake basically perfects every issue previously had with the game beyond fixing it's general length. It took me 3 hours and 52 minutes to beat the game, granted, with a lot of prior experience, but it still lasts the same approximate 8-10 hours of gameplay for new players. Despite this lack of length, I strongly suggest old players and new to pick up this remake at some point in time, to truly experience the definitive version of Shadow of the Colossus
Whether you have played the original version of the Shadow of the Colossus or not, the PS4 version is a must have experience. so never doubt paying 40$ for this beautifully crafted experience.

To say that the original Shadow of the Colossus is one of the most important and fascinating games of all time is to speak what many already know. But what few have yet discovered is how Bluepoint managed, like few studios, to visually rework a classic yet retain the same essence of what made it so important in its time. Even with some flaws from the original game, the experience remains true to the purists and modernized enough to be accessible to new players, with the studio reworking elements of the original in the right measure.
