School Girl/Zombie Hunter had the potential to be a B-movie style good time that unfortunately is so bad that it's bad.

School Girl/Zombie Hunter is one of Tamsoft's most mediocre games that will only hold your attention for a little while.

Like a stated before, if you enjoy mindlessly killing zombies and half-naked anime girls than you might find a great deal of fun in School Girl/Zombie Hunter, but if you're looking for a decent playing experience, I feel like you'd be let down. I hope to see Tamsoft continue to develop new IPs, but hopefully next time they'll give the game a good amount of QA before pushing it to release.

Despite it's many, many flaws, School Girl/Zombie Hunter was a solid, camp-drenched romp, and it left me craving more. It may be a bit pricey for a budget title, but I found myself smiling constantly throughout the experience. It's all so obscenely trashy and tongue-in-cheek that it's hard not to wonder how the developers plan to follow this up. It never quite reaches the glory promised in the first half of the game, but this spin-off of the Onechanbara franchise definitely has potential.

School Girl/Zombie Hunter is a rough, low budget release that's a guilty pleasure for all of a few minutes. Awful cutscenes pepper a forgettable story mode, and the online co-op is stunted. Rather than being so bad that it's actually good, the game's simply below average, weighed down by too many issues.

School Girl/Zombie Hunter is just brainless in the worst kind of way; trying to pass itself off as being fun while being devoid of any fun factor.

Highschool girls versus zombies in a B-horror movie theme. In short sessions it can be fun, but don't count on good plot or gameplay. It's hard to resist tearing off those school uniforms, though.

School Girl/Zombie Hunter is a game that knows what it is, but what it is just isn't very good.

SG/ZH suffers from poor gameplay which, frankly, isn't nearly good enough to be enjoyed whether alone or with friends. Tamsoft has a record of creating good action games, however, their knowledge didn't panned out when creating a TPS game.

School Girl/Zombie Hunter is an interesting game, but it's not for everyone. The story is fun, and the gameplay features decent but uninspired gunplay and an odd level structure. If you get offended by games in which girls are constantly reduced to their underwear, then this one certainly isn't for you. But if you're a fan of the Onechanbara series then you should definitely try this one.

To put it bluntly, School Girl/Zombie Hunter is exploitative and perverted schlock. It's also a pleasant surprise. Despite its miniscule budget and plethora of issues, this game successfully manages to have solid shoot 'em up action, as well as an inkling of clever level and encounter design. Deciding on the right arsenal for the next stage actually matters, and the moment to moment decisions can seriously impact one's chances of success. Of course, the subject matter won't appeal to everybody, though it's hardly surprising. This is a Tamsoft title, after all, and they know their audience.

School Girl / Zombie Hunter is not the longest game, which makes it ideal for quick bursts of fun. It has a brilliant little gameplay loop that certainly has its bugs and low-budget irritations, but never stops being utterly entertaining. Throw in the most perfect take on trashy B-grade horror that I've ever seen in a game, and there are not many other games released this year that I've had more fun with than this one.

Rather than taking inspiration from the action packed High School of the Dead, School Girl/Zombie Hunter manages to make an otherwise fun setting into a completely dull experience with its repetitive gameplay, low quality cutscenes and lackluster story.

School Girl Zombie Hunter is about as good as you would expect a game with that name to be.

Hoo boy, where to begin with School Girl/Zombie Hunter. I suppose I should start off by mentioning that it’s like some weird cross between Resident Evil and Onechanbara, as weird as that may sound. While I have no doubt the developers set out to do…something, it feels as if they stuck their hands in too many pies, while not really committing to any of them. It has all the bases to be: a fan service game, story driven, an action game, or a comedic parody, yet I found it to never really settle on any of the options it had going for it. Oddly enough, the game isn’t really “bad” per se, more of a weird genre limbo type deal.

School Girl/Zombie Hunter is a fun zombie slaughtering sim. The game has a story which is quite generic but with a few surprises thrown in and fans of games such as Earth Defence Force, Dynasty Warriors and Onechanbara will most likely be the target audience here. I feel the multiplayer could be a lot of fun with people you know and a great laugh.
