If you have a Switch, or hell, just looking for an Arcade racing experience that won't try to shove microtransactions down your throat, or artificially gate your progress with unnecessary bullsh*t, then Gear.Club Unlimited is certainly recommended.
Gear.Club Unlimited is a very serious bet for the driving games on Nintendo Switch. Its story mode features a huge amount of races and guarantees lots of hours of entertainment. Gear.Club Unlimited is an all-around simple affair. Almost all of the races are short, which is complemented by the very lengthy campaign. The racing is purely arcade in style, and it's more exciting when playing against others instead of against the passive AI. It may not look like a AAA title, but the performance holds up well, and the sense of speed feels right. While not the greatest representation of what a traditional racing game on the Switch should be, Gear.Club Unlimited will hopefully serve as a catalyst to bring more racing titles to the Switch.
This is the Switch’s first realistic racing title, and it’s a damn good one.

If Gear.Club Unlimited can't compete with games like Forza Motorsport or GranTurismo and isn't as fun as a Mario Kart, it's good enough to be considered as a good way to entertain players in need of driving games on Nintendo Switch.

Gear.Club Unlimited won't pry people away from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and it certainly can't compete with the Forza and Gran Turismo's out there but there still is some fun to be had. I came away disappointed but I can acknowledge that Eden Games has done a decent job in bringing a realistic racing experience to the Switch.

Gear.Club Unlimited is not a very good game. It's not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but not even it's impressive car visuals can save it from being just an incredibly average racing game. It honestly feels like there was no love put into this game. At $49.99 I simply cannot recommend this game at the current price tag. The title still feels like a free-to-play game you would find on the Apple App Store more than a fully fledged game, and frankly, that's all it's worth to me.
I wanted to love Gear Club Unlimited, I really did, but I'm sorry to say that I don't.
The car design is beautiful, the racing is smooth and fluid, and the inclusion of the performance workshop is a welcome addition. While it does fall short of becoming a viable replacement for Forza fans, it does provide the Switch with a fun racing game for enthusiasts looking for a more realistic racing experience.
In the end then, Gear.Club Unlimited is a fun but flawed racer.

While you should expect a title as demanding visually as Forza, the game is a perfect balance of both arcade and racing simulations, with a wealth of content that will keep you busy for a long time.
