With the advent of VR games, I assumed that the best experiences would, logically, be those with a first-person perspective, and as such wasn't all that interested in Moss when it was first announced. After all, how could a third-person platformer be any good when you can play games where you literally inhabit the main character?
A charming game that is probably the best use of PSVR so far, with a nice variety of locations and decent puzzles and action, marred only by some tracking issues and a short running time.

Clever, different, but sadly all too brief. Moss might not be the singular game to justify the purchase of a PlayStation VR, but it is one of a growing number of PSVR releases that build up a decent list of reasons to pick one up.
Moss surpassed my expectations and is my favorite VR game of all time. It offers a wonderful story, engaging character, and utilizes VR in a way that I have not experienced before. If you are a PSVR owner, then you owe it to yourself to purchase this game.
Moss is one of the most interesting experiences ever done on VR and has a main character that we deeply love: Quill. It may not be perfect due to the restrains of PS VR, but despite that, it's an excellent portrait of VR narrative and gameplay.

A storybook comes to life in a meaningful way in Moss.
Moss is a charming and fun mixture of aspects of both Redwall and Neverending Story but also feels refreshingly fresh. Polyarc has managed to combine concepts from a lot of other VR games and make it all into one fun and interesting game the whole family can enjoy. The only real disappointment I have about this game is that it is so short. This is our Moss Review for the PSVR.
Moss is an outstanding achievement for VR and further proves what makes the platform so compelling. If you own a PS VR or are looking to buy one, Moss is a perfect reason to jump in.
Moss has simply raised the bar on all PSVR games going forward. Among its beautiful landscapes, pleasant music, clever puzzles and great narration is a story about a cute mouse name Quill who you will instantly fall in love with and be willing to do anything for by the end of the story. Some say we have been waiting for the definitive game to buy a PSVR for, I believe Moss has just stood up and taken that position. Be aware though, this is only part one of Quill's tale, so don't expect a grand finale as I'm sure we have plenty more still to come; however, what an introduction! "Moss" creates another model for a successful VR game.
Billed as the first part of Quill's storybook adventures, Moss showcases some of the best ideas to grace the PlayStation VR since its inception. Not only is it comfortable and easy to get into, but the forest world that Quill calls her home is a character all its own.
This is one VR bedtime story that you'll never want to put down.
Polyarc has created a fantastic world filled with compelling characters, creative puzzles, and a story that'll stick with you long after the five-hour runtime. Moss is precisely the reason you buy a PSVR, and it's sure to make any player fall in love with a brave little mouse named Quill.
Without a doubt, the PSVR needs more games like Moss; its use of VR prioritizes long-lasting immersion over cheap gimmicks that end as soon as they begin, and it also shows how VR tech can be used to create a more personal engagement between the player and the character (waifu simulators notwithstanding).
This game’s intelligent mechanics kept me intrigued, sustained my interest to finish the game as quickly as possible. Although the experience was more of experimentation and a series of trial and errors for me (a couple of mouse-drowning deaths as well), the game still leaves me asking for more: more of the story, and more games like this in VR. My adventure with Quill in Moss was more than satisfying. It was excellent, magical, and truly a gem.
Moss is a lovely little game that applies VR in ways I’m excited to see develop. The simple platforming, puzzling and fighting aren’t anything fantastic on their own, but together in a precious little storybook world, and elevated by a VR perspective, they’re a delight. It’s a shame Moss feels a little cut short, but what remains is an endearing adventure that’s a joy to take part in. A healthy mix of interesting puzzles and satisfyingly, simple combat make Moss a stand out PSVR game and a beacon for the potential of third-person games in the virtual realm.
As the debut release from Polyarc, Moss offers a surprisingly gorgeous world filled with wonder and delight.
Moss is a gorgeous game, with Disney-level animation (on Disney's best day), spectacular world building, and intriguing puzzles. Quill the mouse is a living creation, delicate but with real weight and personality. Like the way the best 3-D worlds incorporate 3-D organically, Moss avoids VR gimmicks and relies on wonder and story to produce the first essential title on PS VR.
