Frantics might not be perfect but it captures what makes games like Mario Party great. Anyone can win, provided they have the right tactic or are just lucky and it's never too late to come back. It's a shame the motion controls aren't the best, with it making some games far more difficult than they really should've been but the ability for four people to play without having to buy multiple controllers more than makes up for it. So, if you want a party game anyone can play or just something that supports four players locally on the PlayStation 4, Frantics is a solid choice. However, if controls are an issue or your phone doesn't support it, you might want to sit it out.

As I fell in love with Crash Bash, so I did with Frantics as well. The claymation art style combined with fun, entertaining and almost nostalgic feeling mini-games gives it some value and life, something that has been somewhat lacking in modern party games. Frantics should definitely be in your library.

This is PlayLink's wackiest game yet, full of mini-games to test your friendship or have some fun stabbing someone in the back to steal the victory. You can even try to blame Fox for it and say that he made you do it.

Frantics is a nice addition to the Playlink family, allowing friends to get together and play minigames by using their phones. There is a good variety of games, although more would make it better. Plenty of fun twists such as the secret missions, traps, and auctions add to the experience.

For those looking for a fun party game, Frantics fits the bill nicely. It's not the deepest game out there, but then again this is targeting the casual demographic.

Frantics is a fun and polished collection of minigames, made unique by its wonderful aesthetics. The gameplay is very effective in bringing out the worst and most competitive side of the players involved, so it's perfect for a night with friends. Ruthless competition, misconduct and wicked behaviour are combined well with a game system that, while maintaining the inclusive philosophy of PlayLink, do not skimp so much action and rhythm. On the long run it may become a little bit repetitive, but until then it's amazing.

Frantics is a game for those who enjoy the casual style of gaming. Thanks to PlayLink, the few minigames that Frantics has are very funny and entertaining.

Frantics is a fun four-player party game that does its beset imitation of being a Mario Party lite. It's engaging, fun, at times frustrating, but nonetheless a good addition to the PlayLink game family.

Overall, Frantics is a fairly successful little foray into the quirky, party-friendly mini-game ensemble concept that skimps a tad on features and content while doubling down on aesthetic

Even with some basic design flaws and the eventual monotony of playing the same mini-games over and over, Frantics is a fun distraction that could tide you and the family over for hours. Worth the price of admission.

It might not be too innovative, but Frantics provides an enjoyable party experience that Sony's PlayLink service has been lacking. It certainly isn't a killer app, but the fun variety of minigames and its (mostly) responsive controls show how much of a good time PlayLink can provide when it's properly used.

Frantics carries on the tradition of party games with its kooky cast and sabotaging shenanigans. The mobile device requirement adds an extra element to gameplay but also serves as a barrier to entry. The final minigame competition for each set of challenges can also feel unfair at times. That being said, Frantics offers a solid selection of activities for you to undertake against friends and family. If you love the minigame genre and engaging in friendly sabotage, this’ll be worth checking out.

Frantics as a party game is quite dull. As for a family title for kids – it's almost perfect.

It was probably evident throughout the review but I'm not particularly a fan of party games; maybe this is because they're often intrinsically local multiplayer dependent and getting a group of friends together in the same place for a night of gaming goodness has become more and more difficult as the responsibilities and tufts of ear hair start to accumlate alongside the years.
