Despite some of the same issues of other versions, MX vs ATV: All Out somehow feels at home on Nintendo Switch.

A good chance to enjoy freestyle but also a technically outdated racing videogame that, on the other hand, reflects hundreds of details of the motorcycles in the real world.

I have no doubt that those who are into motocross and its associated sports will get some kicks out of MX vs ATV All Out and its numerous modes and racers, but it does come across as a cash-grab with poor graphics and performance on Switch. If you're simply looking for a racing game to play on the go, look elsewhere.

This is great for new players, a “sandbox” filled with hills and ramps and other obstacles to maneuver.

While MX vs ATV All Out had great potential, it doesn't always manage to hold up, probably because of a troubled developing. There are still some positive features to hold on to, while we're waiting for an eventual future chapter

It's hard to recommend MX vs. ATV All Out. It's not a very polished game, and mechanically it's underwhelming.

Apart from chucking together some fierce combos and actually landing a superman-triple-backflip, I really couldn't find much enjoyment in staring at this overly drab flick book of a port. Sure the Switch is underpowered, but this is a real kick in the teeth for fans who would at least want a smooth albeit downgraded "off-road racing and lifestyle experience" on their hybrid console.

Just move along. There are other better motorcycle videogames than this one on Switch.

MX vs. ATV All Out can be fun but I’m not sure anyone should be racing out to buy it. It doesn’t look great and it misfires at times when it comes to load times, framerate, and AI difficulty. It’s got a lot of content but even there I had issues with there being a ton of DLC that isn’t included. If you’re desperate for an off-road racer on your Switch give it a go but otherwise you may want to keep looking.

I can't recommend MX vs ATV at any cost, instead put that money towards MXGP 3 or save for the upcoming MXGPro.

When it comes to racing titles on Switch there's definitely a fair amount of room at the top for competent titles to fill in the generally empty space...

Welcome to the world of MX vs ATV All Out on the Nintendo Switch, where players get to ride a variety of off-road vehicles such as ATVs, bikes and UTVs across multiple open environments and indoor arenas.

Its performance issues, its outdated graphics, the various points on each stage that could have been more ergonomically designed and the absence of a career mode show us the way for another racing game.

MX vs ATV: All Out has its fair share of problematic issues, but I still found myself enjoying its core racing experience on the Nintendo Switch. Sure, the physics can be iffy, the frame rate is inconsistent, and the AI is all over the place, but gearing up for a frantic race in the comfort of my bed on the Nintendo Switch’s handheld mode never stopped being satisfying – it has actually kept me coming back for more and more races every night over the last week. The reviewer in me can acknowledge that MX vs ATV: All Out isn’t a great game, but the gamer in me still has fun playing it. Ultimately, your satisfaction with the title is going to come down to what you want from it: if you’re hoping for a realistic and impressive racer you’re going to be let down, but if you’re looking for something you can have quick fixes of frantic racing fun with, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised…

BAD - MX vs ATV All Out is the continuation of a decades long franchise. Regrettably on the Nintendo Switch it falls flat visually, looking heavily dated, and there are some seriously crippling performance problems visually and audibly in multiple areas of the game. Worse off, all of the enthusiast branded vehicle content is tied to paid DLC. If you want to go “All In” with this game, you’d be shelling out nearly $150 in total. My suggestion, however, is to follow suit with the game’s title, and go All Out as far away from this one as you can.

Considering previous reviews for other platforms, I was expecting for MX vs. ATV All Out to be way worse than what it ended up being. It’s by no means a great game, as it’s quite boring and performs poorly. However, I still managed to have my fair share of fun with it, mostly by wasting my time looking for collectibles in its interesting open world mode.

MX vs ATV All Out fails to do anything new or interesting that we haven’t seen before. It’s visually unimpressive and auditorily disappointing, seeming like like a lost game from the last generation of systems. The game-hampering bugs are problematic, though admittedly being fixed. Each of the different event types are well-made and offer a lot of variety and satisfaction with the core gameplay is fun to play once you get a handle on the mechanics of the dual-joystick controls. There’s a lot of basic things MX vs ATV All Out should already have figured out – but it doesn’t.

MX vs ATV All Out is a poor representation of a sport that can be very exciting. It is poorly made and implemented, and could have been something good, had the developers put a little bit of effort into it.

I`ve really enjoyed playing MX v ATV All Out so far, and having everything included, is worth the purchase.

Long loading screens, appalling frame rate drops, glitchy mechanics, dated visuals and uninspiring AI make All Out an overall experience you might consider skipping.
