Dragon's Crown was one of the best Action RPGs for the PS3, and to no one's surprise it's aged well and brought to new life here on the PS4 Pro. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a solid side-scrolling RPG.

Despite the framerate issues, this is a good game that I enjoyed playing. Some of the 2D animations are a little weird but it just adds to the feel of the game. If you’re someone who played this game before and has a burning desire to play it again I’d say go ahead, it will satisfy your desire. Likewise if you’re a fan of VanillaWare games. If you haven’t played it before, however, I would say maybe have a look at the game on the PS3 or Vita; it will probably be a little cheaper.

Dragon's Crown Pro is filled with endlessly captivating art, but those same visuals also trip up its deep, intricate action (and may be a bit too risqué for some players' tastes).

The most beautiful "beat´em up" of the past generation is back. Dragon´s Crown find a perfect balance between classic brawlers such as Golden Axe or The King of Dragons, and RPG elements, and adds an unmissable 4 player coop (local or online). This remastered version also includes 4K resolution (witch PS4 Pro) and a new orchestral soundtrack.

Dragon's Crown remains not for everyone. Some might consider it repetitive, vulgar and may even be left wondering what all the fuss was about. But, for those of you who ever fell in love with arcade brawlers, fantasy storytelling, and tabletop RPGs, then Dragon's Crown Pro will shine oh-so-brightly as the unique and sublime treasure it is. Your legend awaits, hero. Seize the day.

For many it will come down to how much you enjoy Dragon's Crown Pro's combat, and how much of its repetition you can stomach. It doesn't take long to see everything the game has to offer, but the allure of the grind and the near-perfect loot system might keep some players coming back for much longer than anticipated.

Dragon's Crown Pro easily captures the feel of an arcade-style beat-em up, despite some nagging issues of repetition. Still, it is a fun game that will be a pleasure to play through in the right circumstances.

The pricing will seem somewhat steep if you've already poured countless hours into the original Dragon's Crown, but that doesn't take anything away from what is still one of the best, most memorable beat-'em-ups on the market. Topped off with some incredibly addictive RPG elements, it's difficult not to fall in love with Vanillaware's stellar sidescroller all over again. Dragon's Crown Pro continues the legacy of a modern classic, and if you haven't tried it before, now's your chance.

A game that is almost as good as it was 5 years ago... but with small improvements over the PS3 & Vita versions, making this remasters forgettable if you've already played the original game.

As good as Dragon's Crown Pro may be, there are no significant additions and with only the soundtrack and visuals receiving polish there's no point to upgrade to this version if you still have an original copy of Dragon's Crown. But if you missed out on Dragon's Crown five years ago, Pro is a perfect excuse to experience it.

It's a shame not to see anything new here for the gameplay, but the 4K visuals and orchestral soundtrack do a lot to drive home the point that VanillaWare make good looking and sounding games.

Dragon's Crown Pro is that same Dragon's Crown we all loved and remember from 2013, it's just shinier, prettier, and on the latest console. If you've already played it to completion (or simply to death) on other platforms, there's very little reason to come back for a second purchase.

Dragon's Crown Pro is an essential game for those who have skipped the PS3/PSVita version, but also a great opportunity to replay on PS4 one of the best beat-em-up in recent years.

While Dragon's Crown remains the most refined and candid of Vanillaware's neo brawlers, it's absent of the range of improvements and adjustments that marked Odin Sphere Leifthrasir's transition to modern hardware. Dragon's Crown Pro is Dragon's Crown on the PlayStation 4 and it has no interest in being anything else.

Atlus's remake of the PS3 classic, Dragon's Crown Pro brings the game to the modern day with several enhancements. The updated visuals provide a much-needed bump in the image quality. While the remastered music keeps the same elements of the original but adds it's own flair. While this is only Atlus's second remastered title on the PS4, it shows how much love and dedication they've put into it. A favorite from the PS3 days, now veterans and newcomers will be able to enjoy it once again; while still being able to play with existing PS3 and PS Vita gamers.

Dragon's Crown Pro is an entertaining RPG when played solo or with friends. With so many remasters available on current generation consoles, its production values are reminiscent of a time when developers made games and not ever evolving live services. It's still a ton of fun to play, even five years later.

It's tempting to call Dragon's Crown Pro a lazy rerelease, because beyond a slight visual bump and new orchestration of the soundtrack, this is basically the same game from 2013. The thing is, five years later, it's still an incredibly engrossing experience, so I can appreciate the effort in simply bringing that same game to modern hardware.

Dragon's Crown Pro is just as fun on PlayStation 4 as it was on PS3 and Vita. The improved visuals and orchestral soundtrack make this one the definitive version, so if you're already a fan of it, or if you're up for playing a fantasy adventure beat ‘em up RPG, then this one is exactly what you needed.
