Mega Man 11 is an excellent resurgence for the Blue Bomber, imbuing the tried-and-true classic gameplay with modern touches and new ideas that expand on existing concepts in interesting ways. The underlying action platforming gameplay is just as tight and challenging as you remember, and when combined with the new visuals and extra options for replayability, you've got a game that's every bit as good as those that came before, while surpassing them in some ways. Mega Man 11 is a modern classic, a fitting refresh for a beloved series, and we'd highly recommend you add this one to your Switch library whether you're a newcomer or you've been playing since the NES days. Bravo, Capcom.

The fact that Capcom can't make this decades-old maneuver feel effortless is evidence that this series might need to go in a trash compacter like old machinery.

A pretty safe bet for a new Mega Man game. Nonetheless, a great adventure that every blue bomber fan will enjoy a lot.

Mega Man 11 is a real cracker of an action platformer, full of creativity and challenge that has been built up from a reliable base that has been the foundation for so many classic titles. Fans of the series are going to be spoilt by the new challenges on offer, and newcomers will find a game that not only rewards their skill, but offers them the tools to learn the stages, get better and eventually crack this extremely tough game.

To celebrate its late 30th birthday, the Blue Bomber comes back with a strong 11th episode which finally takes some risks. The brand new Double Gear System breezes a fresh wind on the still satisfying classic mecanics of the series. With twisted boss fights and four very well-though difficulty modes, only the very meh soundtracks might forbid you to call bakc this old pal.

Very good port of a classic into the modern era. Veterans of the series waited for that but for new fans, Mega Man 11 lacks innovation.

Mega Man 11 brings back Capcom's Blue Bomber in all his glory, complete with the series' trademark difficulty as well as new modes that help ease in newcomers and less technically skilled players. Admittedly, the game's challenge can feel cheap at times and stages can feel a bit drawn out. That being said, this is a great first take of a modern Mega Man for this generation and one can only hope it doesn't take another five years for the next game in the main series to come out. Now how about Mega Man Legends 3, Capcom?

Mega Man 11 is about as retro as a game can get nowadays, with tight action and great charm. It can be a touch too difficult at times, but overall it's a fantastic side-scroller that's worth checking out.

Mega Man 11 is as challenging, fun and frustrating as every other game in the series in literally every single aspect.

Mega Man 11 brings back that classic feel while giving it a fresh new look. The boss fights are memorable and challenging while the stages are thematic and very fun to play. While the game has a couple of flaws, Capcom still did an incredible job trying to recapture the nostalgia while bringing Mega Man into the HD generation.

Mega Man 11 might look fantastic and over come neat mechanics, but it's far from a perfect experience. Story is fairly bland, quite predictable and offers nothing besides filler between missions. While difficulty can be overwhelming and at times feel cheap, it is an invitation for players to think outside the box. This will appeal to some and just frustrate others. Between that and some underwhelming bosses, some of which are fairly forgettable, Mega Man 11 caters more to the hardcore crowd than anything else. So, if you love difficulty, you might like it but if you don't want to memorize levels, repeat them multiple times because you made one mistake or practice for hours, you might want to sit it out.

Sure, we'd love to have been treated to a deeper or lengthier adventure in Mega Man 11—not to mention a more memorable soundtrack—but its successes are proof that modernized applications of the classic blueprint can still yield irresistible results.

Even if it could stand to benefit from a little something extra, this is still a triumphant return for the Blue Bomber. Mega Man 11 is another stellar entry in the series, plain and simple.

Mega Man 11 marks some minor changes to their classic platforming formula. While nothing is wrong with the gameplay, it is feeling tired at this point.
