Where Smash goes from here is anyone's guess, but for now, it's simply the best it's ever been.
Problems aside, this is the best Smash yet, and it would be an understatement to say that the game has so much more. The game IS so much more, and there’s so much more coming.
Smash Ultimate really is the Ultimate Super Smash Bros. game. The content is packed and nearly all of it would satisfy my soul for a life time. It is already becoming one of my favourite games on the Switch. For certain it’s already the game I’ve put the most hours in thanks to it’s addicting multiplayer and satisfying mechanics. After nearly a full year of hype from the moment it was announced last March I can fully say that I am satisfied with the game that we received. It’s incredibly hard for me to fault outside of some lacklustre adventure mode. There’s just so much more for me to do in the game that I am able to overlook one small experience and enjoy everything else that Sakurai has packed into this experience. A gigantic Roster partnered with smooth and just downright fun gameplay. Not to mention the amount of content packed into it. Smash Ultimate gets my seal of approval.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the best and most content rich Smash Bros. game that Nintendo has ever released. With more characters, stages, songs, and unlockables than ever before Smash Ultimate is every Nintendo fan's dream fighting game come to life.
This itteration of Smash is truly the ultimate version and brings together the best of the series.

Ultimate is a collection of gaming history from the last few decades with something for everyone. Every Switch owner should have this in their collection.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is worthy enough of its Ultimate title. Nintendo managed to create the Ultimate and richest Smash Bros game with a huge roster of characters and a bunch of modes.

Despite the issues in online, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the definitive game in the series. It’s a celebration of Nintendo’s legacy in the gaming industry, and a triumph in game design.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is by far the most complete game in the popular franchise. It hasn’t reinvented the wheel and doesn’t need to. Ultimate presents enough additions and improvements to smooth out the edges and deliver a beautiful balance of chaos and fluidity.
You know it’s a great game after you’ve played it a while and you still enjoy going over and helping your fellow gamer unlock characters on their copy of the game.
If you’ve ever enjoyed a Super Smash Bros. game, you surely won’t go wrong with Ultimate. It’s one of the most ambitious fighting games of all time, and certainly among the top mascot crossover games in any genre. Ultimate is one for the ages.
If you own a Nintendo Switch, you need to get Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It’s as simple as that. It’s the crown jewel in Nintendo’s party game line-up - the ‘Infinity War’ of video games… the most ambitious crossover episode of all time.
Nintendo Switch received the definitive Super Smash Bros. experience. Ultimate it’s quite literally the final form of this franchise with every character, every level and with deep mechanics, striking visuals, an absurd amount of game modes and all the fun of the previous games. After 20 years, this Nintendo mega-mashup still feels fresh.

It’s easy to consider a game an essential pickup for a system, but if there was ever a game I would call a must-have for those who love video games, it is unquestionably Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Ultimate is a great fighting game that improves everything the Wii U version did right, but things like the way you unlock the characters can sometimes feels like a chore instead of a fun activity and that the adventure/classic mode losses its appeal once you unlock every character available.

I could go on, but the point remains: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is clearly an essential part of every Switch owner’s library. Complaints come down to mostly nitpicks, but the dazzling cast of characters, splendid stages, multitude of multiplayer modes, and much more are just as addicting as the core gameplay around them has been since the series’ genesis back in 1999.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate is without a doubt the best title of the entire Smash series. Unbelievable amount of content and attention to detail definitely solidify the word "ultimate" in the game's title. You'll enjoy this game both alone and with your friends. If you've got ambition to become a world champion, Smash Ultimate will give you a playing field to do so, but the rest will be up to you.
