A bright and unpretentious fighting game, who pays the duty for his ambitions of immediacy, finishing up being rather insipid.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy delivers some unique battles with a cast of enjoyable characters. The game’s difficulty spike in the story mode and the lack of content are unfortunate, but it’s an otherwise good game for those who are getting their feet wet in the fighting genre.

While SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy has the potential to be a fun hunk of cheese and fanservice, ultimately it relies too much on the game's premise to carry things.

Overall, SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy suffers the same problem that many of the most recent fighting games have: barebones content.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is a party game filled with fanservice and it has made peace with that. While there isn't much that's noteworthy about the game's presentation, its approach to accessibility is interesting and worth experiencing. It has managed to create its own unique experience that is worth exploring, even if it's not for everyone.

SNK Heroines is a really enjoyable fighting game that, albeit many will criticize for its more casual approach, offers an interesting and fun experience. The only thing that this is its lack of content: from game modes to character roster and scenarios. Its impossible to not look at it as an imcomplete title with entertaining gameplay mechanics.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is a weird fighting game. It tries to appeal to newcomers by banking on hypersexualization of its characters and downplaying game mechanics which might push away fans.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy has some really great franchises to draw from (I have been playing various SNK fighting games for years, and immediately felt familiarity with the cast of characters), and it has arguably the most accessible fighting mechanics of any game to date, but the fanservice and modes really only go so far. SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy has a nice, fast combat system in place that makes local play with friends zany and entertaining, but the modes themselves and modest number of characters probably are not meaty enough to encourage me to spend a ton of the time with the title either. I've gone through and beaten the story mode several times just so I can see the various interactions and endings, but outside of trying to unlock a few more items, I am not sure the hook here is going to be enough to keep me coming back on a regular basis unless I have a few people over looking to play a quick, accessible fighting game.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is an extremely casual fighting game. It seeks to simplify the mechanics of the King of Fighters series to make them simpler and with random elements, like items. In the end, this will not please any type of player. The customization of the girls is quite considerable, but there are many limitations. The rest of the game does not please either. Acquire it only if you are a fan of SNK, but take notice that you may be disappointed.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is a great fighting game for long-time SNK fans. The all-female SNK roster, customize feature, and Dream Finishes make this a fun and memorable fighting game.

It's the kind of fighting game you can pull out when friends who might not be masters at the genre come over. The game is pretty good however, at teaching new players a lot of the basics of the fighting game genre and is extremely easy to pick up and have fun with.

I think the only real use for this game is as a prank gift. Don’t buy the physical version because that can be resold or returned. I’m talking about logging into your friend’s console account and buying the digital copy so that it’s in their game library forever, a reminder of life’s cruelty. You know what? It’s not worth the money or embarrassment of them finding out you knew about this game.

SNK Heroines shows some solid gameplay, but it severely lacks content and gives poor fan service.

SNK Heroines is a game that attempts to appeal to a very specific audience, but it is not even a good "one of those" games. It mishandles the aspects it is attempting to nail and is just not a lot of fun to play.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy does exactly what it sets out to do. It provides a fan service filled, over the top fighter anyone can pick up and play. This is pretty much what I expected this title to be from the day that they announced it. I thought the girls’ outfits were all outstanding and I really had a good time playing through the crazy story with each set of girls. I do think this one is a little light on content. A few more gameplay modes or some other extras wouldn’t have hurt this one a bit. If you are an SNK fan and you want to see some of the leading ladies in a very unusual environment, then this one is well worth the $49.99 price tag. I think casual fighting fans would have a great time with this one as well, since it is really easy just to pick up and play. In the end this may be for the casual fighting fan, but I still feel that it’s better than your average anime fighter!

SNK Heroines is an odd duckling in SNK's fighting stable that turns the traditional formula upside down by emphasizing accessibility over traditional technical prowess. Admittedly, it's not for everyone and the game might turn off purists. For newcomers or even KOF fans who want to be able to enjoy the core fighting game experience without having to pull off tough special moves, however, SNK Heroines could still be a fun and flashy fighter that brings everyone into the fray regardless of skill level.

So, SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is a fighting game. It's also a cheesecake fanservice game, and a casual-friendly fighting game. Premise is thin on the ground in a lot of fighting games, and this is no exception; There was going to be a King of Fighters tournament, then a bunch of the women who were going to be there (plus Terry, who has been turned into a woman) wake up in a freaky mansion instead wearing skimpy outfits. That's the whole premise.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy was created with a specific audience in mind, and if you're not in that audience, you can do much better. The fighter just isn't particularly enjoyable to play, with a tepid combat engine and poor Switch performance.

SNK HEROINES: Tag Team Frenzy is a fun fighting game with lots of customization to offer. It is too bad that the grind to unlock everything does not feel rewarding enough. Not to mention, the online does not offer much to stick around for.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy may not be the most ambitious fighting game ever created but that doesn't stand on its way of being a fun and accessible title that will appeal to fans of SNK fighting games and which features heavy doses of humour. The gameplay is overly simplistic and often the game feels superficial, which is somehow balanced by the enjoyable moments spent at following the characters' interactions with each other and dialogues.
