Katamari Damacy Reroll Reviews
Katamari Damacy REROLL is not the best way to play Katamari Damacy. The faster load times and stable frame rate are par for the course with the ports to much more powerful consoles that came two generations later. This should have been so much more; there are too many features that have been bungled or got cut. Even though REROLL may not be ideal, the core gameplay of rolling a Katamari and picking stuff up and building a planet-sized ball is still gratifying and fun to watch.
For those new to the Katamari series, Katamari Damacy REROLL is a great introduction. The concept is intriguing, inventive, and insane. Gamers revisiting the series will feel a bit of nostalgia, but will wonder if the tiny changes are worth the purchase. Fear not—if you enjoyed the original, you will still enjoy REROLL.
Katamari Damacy Reroll is as good as you remember. While this remaster doesn't add any meaningful content, the core gameplay and stages remain addictive and fun. It's a relaxing and unique puzzle game with some outstanding colorful visuals and an incredible soundtrack. If that's what you're after, you can't go wrong with Katamari.
Katamari Damacy Reroll remains one of the most fun and most imaginative games, brought even more to life in glorious HD!

Katamari Damacy Reroll is a great way to reintroduce the franchise, much loved by fans, in the current generation. Who knows this may not enlighten the producers and encourage them to continue the adventures of the Prince who lives at the expense of repairing his father's errors.

Maintaining all the charm of the original, now with upgraded visuals, Katamari Damacy Reroll is as quirky as ever with its fun level design and standout music. Hopefully this will lead to a brand new game in the series or at worst remasters of the other games at some point in the near future.
Just as magical as the original release.
Katamari Damacy ReRoll has one of the most original, quirky, and unique presentations. The game is very much color and cute; the Prince looks to be made of various shapes while in the few cutscenes we get, the characters are all blocky; which is quite humorous.
Despite this, Katamari Damacy Reroll is a faithful remake even if it keeps the rough with the smooth. All issues were ones also found in the original game, so they're not exactly the fault of Monkeycraft. Fans of the franchise will have a blast replaying the game that started it all. Those who are new to the franchise might get a little frustrated with some of the dated design issues like the controls, but it's a great place to start for anyone who's curious about the strange ball-rolling world of the King of All Cosmos.
Katamari Damacy REROLL is a great puzzler, with one of the weirdest concepts of all time. It still holds up on today's consoles, but the visuals are still a far cry from what you may be used to sixteen years later.
A wise man once said, “Keep rollin, rollin, rollin, rollin (come on),” and I think that’s just what I’m going to do.
Even after 16 years, there's nothing quite as absurdly wonderful as Katamari Damacy, and this remastered Reroll edition brings it to a whole new audience. Chock full of fun and silliness, blessed with a hypnotically soothing gameplay loop, and a soundtrack so joyously daffy it leaves you beaming ear-to-ear, Katamari Damacy deserves a successful PS4 Reroll.
Katamari Damacy Reroll is a faithful if unadventurous remake of a PlayStation 2 classic that should probably be experienced by every gamer at least once. The unique presentation and anarchic sense of humour stand the test of time, and the satisfying gameplay loop makes high score chasing a treat. It's a game in which you can roll over old women with a massive sticky ball and honestly you just can't say that about most games.
Timeless and strange, Katamari Damacy is as original now as it was when first released. There’s nothing else like it. REROLL is a faithful remaster, but on PS4 that means retaining a very out-of-date control scheme, and no new features, but even that can’t hold back this big ball of fun.
Seriously, if you’re a Katamari Damacy fan, you don’t need me to tell you twice that this is a must-buy. And for newcomers wondering what the commotion is about, why not pick up Katamari Damacy REROLL on the most intuitive console for it — the PS4? For half the price of a AAA game, I guarantee it’s easy to put in Skyrim-level hours into this unrelentingly silly, delightfully absurd title. Don’t disappoint your dad, aka The King of All Cosmos (in fact, do so at your own peril…) — roll up Katamari Damacy REROLL on your PS4 ASAP.
REROLL presents Katamari Damacy with all of the strange power and dazed prestige it originally showcased in 2004. This no-frills reissue is adapted from its 2018 trip to the Switch, favoring preservation over amplification, but such is the curse of being born perfect. Katamari Damacy is on another modern platform and all is right with the cosmos.
This remaster gives Katamari Damacy the high-definition graphics and keyboard support that you'd expect in a modern PC game, but that's all. Considering the game's excellence, that's just fine.
